    15" coil

    just got the big coil on today and found a SLQ about 8 inches deep with it today. that's my 6th silver quarter with the nox 800 this year. also got 7 silver dimes and 2 V nickels so far this year. one nickel was 1884.

    I just got a coiltek 3 khz digger coil and took it out for about an hour. I dug about 25 pulltabs and not a single coin.     705 shutting off and screen went bad

    LCD screen went out in my 705. last week it kept shutting off and its only 2 weeks old. thanks to Minelab and Kieth at Fort Bedford Ill have a new one by Wednesday.

    the coil setting only affects your depth reading. the fast clicking noise is the coil overloading. as long as it doesn't do it at RX15 without boost on its a good coil. if you have boost on it might overload at RX6 or 8. I've only used boost a couple of times because I don't seem to notice much...

    my 5.3 will barely hit my seven inch silver dime and only in deep silver rx12+, sense 85+ and 5 band filter. probably wont see it hit any coins at 8 or 9 unless you have close to zero mineral ground. smaller coils are more for separation than depth. stick with the 950, D2 or the UL13 if you want...

    V3i first silver finds for me

    nice finds Tony. sounds like your liking your v3i. don't be afraid to try the relic mode too. for some reason most of my deep coins have been found using that mode on 5 band pass. it can get a little noisy though if its a trashy area. good luck
