    14k. heart breaker

Tough hunting these past days. Strong winds and rough waves, plus its beginning to get colder. Time to break out the wet suits. Popped out this baby. I could read the 14kbottom on the band and Visions of sugar plums danced in my head. Could hardly wait to get home and put the diamond tester...

Just another reason "not" to get an Olympus 770sw or similar camera

They sucks. There customer service is no better either. Less than 3 yrs old, it died once again after hitting the water- and ruined yet another memory card. The 3rd time in as many years. The first time it was covered under warranty, the 2nd cost me, and now the want me to pay $111.00 for...

    This weekends finds..

G'day all, Nice day at the beach. Lots of beach-goers. Factor in the choppy water and almost 90* degree heat and you get all the elements of a good hunt. Patty had the better luck on the sand with the Quattro, finding a ring and some bangles. The surf just gave up some coins and junk...

:thumbdown:BDA. Got to agree w/you on Olympus. My SW770 dead. Great pics-- lousy water seals.

For a camera that supposed to water resistant, it certainly does not live up to its discription. After being repaired twice already for the same thing and now out of warranty. I decided to open it up, low and behold, corrosion and rust on the inside. Looks as bad as some of the coins in find...

Here's a chunk of gold :beers:

What a great day to hunt this morning. Weather was cool (75*), water was somewhat calm, and no jellies. Ran into a couple of hunters who had already been out here an hour earlier or more. Not to many finds in the water, just a few coins and a hoop earring. [attachment 105318 Calmday.jpg]...

Short hunt and my first emerald

Got a chance to get out for a couple of hours this morning while the water was calming down. Ran into 3 other hunters from Seattle area. Not much out there in the water though, ended up with 68 cents. Just as we were heading to the lot, I got a loud deep signal which turned out to be 2 cans...

    Labor Day hunt

Hit 2 beaches yesterday. 1 inter-coastal calm as a pond, the other, gulf side was rough. Nice to see a decent crowd at the beach again. The weekend weather over the past month has been lousy. Heres the booty from Patty and I. [attachment 103361 LaborDay08.jpg] Lion head ring has no markings so...

Playing some catch up. Some of the past few weeks finds

    This weeks low tide finds
