    My oldest coin to date

    1740 spanish coin...beats my earliest coin find by 37 years.....it's a little scratched and dinged....I don't see 1R, 2R, etc so if anyone can tell me what it is and the dinomination please do. Thanks.

    some recent finds and question about coins

    I found the 2 pennies recently (1863 and 1864) in different locations and was wondering why some come out green and smooth and some come out the normal color. Also my first confederate finds.

    General question on reales

    How's it going everybody. I haven't been detecting in 4 months so I don't have anything to show but I was going through some of my stuff and I have a few pieces of broken reales. Did they used to break them on purpose or something? I was just wondering why so many people find them in broken...

    My best non-silver coin

    I usually don't post coins on here but I've never had a large cent (or any copper coin for that matter) come out of the ground looking this good and I was overly happy with it so I thought I'd share it.
