Here is a rundown on my first season with the E-Trac. All the totals are approximate. I might've missed a coin or two, as I did give some away. I tried to be meticulous in my detecting diary though.

Total hours = 247 of swing time.[attachment 186296 125.jpg] [attachment 186297 127.jpg] [attachment 186298 128.jpg]

Total "OLD" Coins = 322

Silver = 72

1 Morgan Silver Dollar
1 Barber Half
1 Seated Dime
5 Barber Quarters
2 Standing Liberties
2 Washingtons
20 Barber Dimes
29 Mercs
6 Rosies
5 War Nickels

Indian Heads = 43

Nickels

1 Shield (dateless)
13 V's
17 Buffalo's
4 older Jefferson's (2 - 1940's, 1941, 1957)

5 War nickels (in silver total)

Wheats = 185 - Average date for the wheats I found is 1928

Silver to Wheat Ratio ; = 1 silver for every 2.57 wheats.

Clad Total - $60 - including 2 halves, and 1 Eisenhower Dollar.

IN CONCLUSION:

I do not know how my ratio matches up with some of your areas of the country. What I've read is my silver to wheat ratio might've been a little high. I have about 3 reasons for this.

1. Close to 90 or so of these old coins, including the Morgan and Barber Half, were on a virgin spot. I will tell you that going through the totals at that spot the Silver to non-silver ratio is about 1

I loved the video and congratulations on the finds :clapping:

I'd like to say thank you very much for the posts I see. I hardly let a day go by that I do not visit this site and read what's going on with you guys. I enjoy the level-headed advice I get from you fellow detectorists (I realize a lot of mine are not "level headed"). I look forward to seeing what's being unearthed. Quite frankly, I've never had a hobby that kept me thinking about it this much and for this length of time.

I appreciate all of you!!!!:clapping:

The dog picture is a Bridle decoration from the horse drawn carriage days. Kinda like a Rosette....as near as I can tell. Around here it would probably be only 100-120 years old. Thanks Bilko.
