Hunt with your programs in: (A) Standard Minelab coin program -----(B) "Modified" Minelab coin program-----(C) Set up your own special program-----or--(D) Don't really give a "rats a--" which program your hunting in? :ranting: ---------------- Del

I'm using 2 custom programs that came with the detector (used) that are excellent, but have one that I'm using of my own that I can change settings etc. to try and learn what will work best for me. I guess I could find lots of stuff with the Minelab programs but what fun would that be. This machine amazes me every time I take it out.

I hunt with Andy Sabisch's coin program. So I suppose that would fall under C. Having too much fun to change yet, though I'll get to more customization this winter when I can't get a digger in the ground.

Quickmask with just a couple of bars up off the bottom to knock out something like a bread tie:thumbup:

I use a modified coin program for most places, I started with the minelab coin program and opened it up quite a bit, especially around the nickel area. I got tired of nickels not coming in good on the stock coin program, now they are nice and clear. For heavy iron laden sites, I use 2 tone ferrous with a relic screen, only tiny bit of bottom right corner blacked out

B grately modified and quickmask clear screen does me(mostly beach)

Interesting responses guys & I'm sure they are all "killer" set ups!----Mine is a "C" (all the way).--------Haven't had a D "log in" yet! --------Del

I always use a modified relic program. Sometimes just a slightly larger version of the relics program. Sometimes I use the QM bringing the bottom up to 27, knock out 49and 50 on the right, and block 01 and 02 at the top from 27 to 50, then disc in 42-44 in the 01 and 02 line at the top to minimize falsing. I use that pattern if I am running condictive sounds. I usually run in auto+3; pitch hold; fast=on; deep=on; ground=difficult; trash=high. Sometimes I can run the groung and trash different but not usually. I almost always use either Ferrous/2tones but lately have been experimenting with conductive/multi and plan to try conductive 2 and 4 tone.

The coins pattern knocks out too many relics and there are always relics (and possible jewelry) of some sort unless you are just clad hunting.

This guy hunts with a Killer coin pattern using multi tone but recently have been trying a two tone ferrous in areas hunted heavily with good results.Hardrock ( Andy Sabish developed the Killer Coin Pattern)
