Sure was surprised to see something shiny come out of the black dirt. Old English script reads F. R. The ball stud was about a foot away at considerable depth so it was a lucky find to locate the second half of this collar stud. A No 4 crotal bell followed by a knapsack hook and then a toe tap finished the day. Lots of other "things" were dug all good signals but not worthy of the clean-up/photo shot.

I know it’s cliche to say you have to out think the target sometimes but I believe your patience and brain got that ball stud. Good job!
 
Gold is always super nice ! Is it marked with a k number?
