Looks like a dream Detector, but

at what price??? I enjoy metal detecting but these prices are getting out of control. I'm so glad and at peace of not having this new detector; simply there is a line that I will not cross. That's why I don't own the etrac as well. To you hunters that can afford them go for it! I'm very happy...

    A possible major game changer!!!

Under water, GPS, wireless audio and underwater target ID with FBS technology! If this detector performs as advertised, this unit will take meatl detecting to a whole new level. This looks to be a true explorers unit. The GPS by itself is huge! The price I'm sure will be the biggest deal, which...

    If the sovereign is

Discontinued, this detector should should be placed in some type of detecting hall of fame! Its one beast of a machine! A true legend in its own time. I'm glad I own one and more importantly know its language! The unique thing is all the differant models are classics, only some with unique features.

    platinum air test

I just received my new platinum and quickly did some air test. There are 6 levels of disc./sensitivity. With the Max and minimum disc. Setting I was able to air test a quarter and penny at 10.5". Same result with sensitivity at the 5th setting. The platinum according to first texas said it has...

    I find this interesting!

First and foremost my Sovereign xs is my primary detector. I was doing a little research for a simple park detector and here is what I found and just purchased and why. I wanted a simple vlf inexpensive detector with some ground balance ability. I accidentally came across the bounty hunter...

    platinum vs ace 350

What do you guys think; just would like to get your opinions. To me after reading the the report by Dave Johnson that the platinums circuitry was an earlier version of the Fisher F5 says alot and you can use current Fisher/Teknetics coils says volumes to me. The ground grab and numeric ID is...

Have my 12x10, short test garden results

I received my 12x10 sef coil today and went to my test garden and let me say this first, that I have only used the 8" bbs coil on my sovereign before so you know the comparison. 1. The 12x10 is very much more stable than my 8" coil. 2. 12x10 is a very hot coil! I had a concern that I wouldn't be...

My S.E.F. 12x10 on the way.

I will post my opinion on the coil. However reports I have read already regardless of coil size they all perform well! In Europe and USA, and I've never seen a coil with high accolades globaly. This is going to be a very interesting spring, and kellyco I guess will be making$$$. This is great...

Will the SEF excellerator coils work with the ID meters

I was wondering could the sef coils work with my 550 meter as I know the the excellerator double d coils won't work with the sovereign meter. And is it better than the sunray s-12? I use the ID meter heavily.

The 550 meter has its place!

Hey fellow sovereign hunters If you really want a meter more precise than the 180 the 550 is truly worth looking into due to its high resolution. You can identify various pull tabs and nickles with no problem. when I get a nice single clean tone I can get a better breakdown in target ID due to...

Big let down days after a great find!

Christmas eve last week I found a 1943 walking liberty half dollar in super shape along with 8 wheat backs one being a 1910. Any way I go a few days later at the same site and find absolutely nothing! Than went to two other old sites found nothing again, Trying not to get frustrated at this...

Is ID EXCEL still a good detector

The reason I ask is because you can auto ground balance in th disc. mode!!! which is why I'm still considering this unit as a back up and park hunter. The other coils don't matter as this is for fun hunting and my sovereign is the main old site detector. Wilbur
