    Steel bottle cap program

    I detect a lot in parks and places like that that are sometimes loaded with steel bottle caps. They will hit at around 94 most of the time. same area as a quarter.     Questions about multi IQ

    Does the 800 use all the frequencies in multi frequency or just the 5, 10, 15? Does the 600 only use 5,10,15 in multi or does it also use the 20 and 40 but they are just not available as single frequency.

    I think I found a bug in the Equinox

    Several times after pinpointing a target the detector would not display ID numbers again after leaving the pinpoint mode. it had sound but no ID. They did eventually start displaying again after about 30 seconds. I can live with it and it works so well I don't want any updates......;o)

    Couple things I would like to see change on the Equinox

    I realize that the metal detector was probably not designed around US coins. The zinc penny usually bounces between two zones the low and high conductor zone. Which makes for two different tones if you are setup like that. It would be nice if they hit a few numbers higher like 23. This way...

    Large round ball?

    Found this yesterday. It seems to be made of copper or brass. As you can see from the pics it is pretty big and weighs at least 10 lbs. It is not perfectly round. [attachment 351731 ball.jpg]

    Went for a short hunt. Used the deep mode in 5khz. I was running high disk looking for any higher tones. I did not want to hear all the trash and pull tabs.
