    Angles question

My answer is gonna sound weird at first... the terrain where I hunt is almost always angled or has steep angles due to my location in upstate SC... very "hilly" . so when pinpointing a target on a steep (45deg) hill I use a counter clockwise circular motion while also rotating myself if I can...

got to use the Vanquish 540 today...

My detecting partner has a few detectors so he brought the Vanquish 540 for me to try out this morning. just a few observations... Running in coin mode with the sensitivity down 2 notches from full I really liked the depth. it's also very easy to determine falsing from a target. I also liked the...

got out with Matt again this morning for a bit, drove his Vanquish 540 for while and it was fun, then we moved on to the spot where a early 1900's school used to sit... got me a Merc and a couple wheats, the only dateable old thing I found was the lock that I ID'd as a Slaymaker-Barry lock...

    3.5 hour grid work

Funny thing is.. I have found 90% of them in "hunted out areas" I haven't MD'd any houses built after 1970 and no modern parks.. all are at least 75 years old or older. I'm at 175 wheats, my record year was 2014 in NY when I found 375 .. my wheat totals tell me I'm working the right areas.

    try something different tomorrow...

I'm gonna hit a park that has been good to me in multi tone conductive... but I'm going to run 4 tone ferrous on a mostly open screen.. 24 and higher will be discriminated.. Etrac bootup issues

I don't have an answer for your issue, I do use the power button reset once a month as habit, and do a master reset once every 6 months of use. the master reset will erase all your programs and settings to factory default, the power button reset will leave your programs but change your settings...
