    Could this have been affecting my gt coil????

    A while back I drilled out the rivets on the meter mount on the shaft of my gt....Today when I took it apart for cleaning a piece of rivet the size of 2 bb's came out of the lower shaft.... The last couple weeks I have been having to run my sens lower to settle it down.... I'm guessing a piece...

    Finally a gold ring in the scoop....

    Went to a different beach today and within the first hour I had 3 rings in the pouch.... One junker, one stainless and one 14k gold w/ 2 little diamonds and a green stone..... I don't know my stones, what would it probably be??? Or just fake stone???? And one little earing.... And the usual...

    Sov gt and wot coil sens. question....

    Is it normal to have to run sensitivity lower on the 15 wot compared to the tornado...???? I'm guessing this is probably right since it is seeing much more ground.... I am not having depth issues, quarters still sound booming at 12".... If the beach is clean I can run it higher, but close...

    Which stavr scoop????

    Which stavr scoop do you have, and can you tell me the +'s and -'s of them.... I have had an rtg 6" scoop and it was great in the dry-wet sand but was not well draining in the water... I now have a stealth but the straight handle(90 degree) is useless in the water...And the non-round design...

    I think my excal is getting water in the battery...

    Unplugged the battery to charge it after a hunt and the rubber gasket was all wet around the contacts....... Should I be putting a coat of silicone lube on it each time I put it back together??? Maybe there was water in the screw on connector when I took it apart... Had no problems with it...

    Silver and gold morning...

    Out into the surf and produced these.... And this stuff.... Getting better at scooping in the waves, recovered almost all my diggings.... Almost got run over by a paddleboarder riding a wave...

    Xcal- can run higher sens in pp than disc.....

    Hunting the waterline-wetsand area and was having trouble falsing in disc when I ran over the sargassum that is piling up on the beach..... Switched to pp and had no trouble running thru the seaweed..... Could also turn the sens way up w/out troubles.... When got signal, switch to disc to check...

    Look at my new scoop.....

    I think it ill work better in the water here than my rtg 6" alum scoop.... Better drainage, fine sand-blacksand and clay type stuff in the water here... Edit...... For sale ad removed Place ads in classified for items for sale..Thank you!

    Can I see pics of your sifters???

    I failed the buried gold depth test

    A friend had a small white gold ring(3 gms maybe) and buried it in the sand 6" to see if I could hear it......Nope..... depressing.....Had the 15 wot, wish I had the 10" with to try it.......In your opinions, would I have heard it w/ the 10"????? I could just barely hear it in all metal, but...

    Just bought an excal

    I had to do it......I like the sov gt so much had to have one for the water.... I'm thinking I really dont need the sov now, I can use waterproof connectors and be able to use my wot for the beach...... If anyone is interested in my Sand shark its gotta go.... $450 shipped And the gt 750...

    Does excal seperate targets like the gt??

    The excal doesn't have a iron mask switch... Is it always running w/ iron mask on, or doesn't it have that circuitry?? Does the excal recognize targets next to iron like the gt???

    The Sov gt with a wot is an amazing thing.....

    Have had the sov for about 2 weeks and the wot for less than a week..... I am getting the sounds down pretty well.... I dig no iron, very few bottle tops (only the deep ones) and no shallow foil.... Pulltabs I know the sound but dig cause its so close to good stuff..Clad is simple, i guess...
