    Be careful using discrimination with Manticore on the beach!

    I think it’s the black sand in the red….. Gold mode also works. i did some testing same results but I didn’t disable discrim - will try next time thanks!

    Suncoast kid, Sorry I don’t understand your issue. Are you saying the 1/8” plug will not go into the 1/4” adapter in your photo because the ledge on the base of the 1/8” plug limits the travel?

    Comparison - Manticore vs EQX 800 vs Explorer SE Pro

    Love your description of the Long Tones mode as I use it (smooth response) on my CTX at the beach. Any hope of getting it on the Manticore? Is great for the beach - I’m worried I’ll be missing targets with the fast response of the Manticore and my fast swing.

    Small thin chain found with AQ LTD

    A friend found a 14k gold heart pendant that looks like that clasp. Like 1/4” or so diameter. My AQ saw it on top of the sand at like 3” with high black sand content. I suspect it was louder for him than for me.

    I may have just cracked rhe "mystery" of the Xterra Pro on the beach....

    They could for example come up with a detector that bursts white noise but the DSP RX circuitry optimizes on one frequency for the eddy current response. The frequency could be optimized for terrain mineral content or water salt content. They could call it a single frequency detector… I think...
