    Coiltek WOT and Sovereign accessories

Selling some sovereign accessories I don't use much. All the items are in excellent shape. 15" Coiltek WOT, Docs swingy-thingy, two meters/ Rons and a Minelab bar meter, and G. Draytons sovereign book. The swingy-thingy has a tip broke off the clip tab which doesn't affect its use, as you can...

    Diggin the tabs

Went hunting for more silver this morning but was getting some severe EMI for some reason. I moved to another part of the park and foung it to be a pulltab junkyard. After digging a couple dozen, to get the tab tone imprinted in my mind, I started digging tones which were lower than the tabs...

    Couple after work hunts

I managed a couple quick after work hunts this week with the GT. I hate this time of year, Sunday we set the clocks back, dark when you get off work. The first night I dug the barber and the merc. The second night I dug the old bus token. I haven't researched it yet too see how old it might be.

    1st Silver Dollar

I got off work a little early today, so I went back to where Ive been using the GT to coax silver out of the dirt. My first target, aside from the numerous zincolns, was an old lipstick capsule (at least I think that's what it is). I was pretty sure my next signal, about three feet away from...

A little silver from the dirt

Was a little too chilly to go to the lake this weekend, so I took the GT to the park and managed to free some silver from the dirt. I love the sovereign for silver hunting but have found that the deep pulltabs (8"+) will mimic a deep silver signal, where as I never had this with the etrac. I'm...

A little silver and copper had to save the day

Made it out for a while today. Fantastic day, high eighties, plenty of sun, but no gold. The GT picked up the copper ring early and the little silver ring right before we headed out for the day.

First lake hunt with the new GT

Finally made it out to the lake with the new sovereign Sunday. Went to one end of the beach, started sweeping and hit four tabs a nickel in a small area. My next target was a super smooth low tone and before I scooped it, I was guessing a lead fishing weight. When I kicked the pile of sand from...

    Problem turning on the GT

Made it to a freshwater beach this weekend with my new GT. When I got there I turned the volume switch on and the machine wouldn't power on. I thought great, I left the volume switch on and the battery is dead. I switched out the battery pack with the alkaline pack and same problem, the machine...

    sovereign/excal audio tones

Are these two machines similar enough that if you learned the audio tones on one, you would be just as proficent with the other?

    Todays Lake Hunt

Had the day off today and headed for the lake. The ETrac managed to sniff out these two beauties (along with a couple handfulls of :pulltab: I swung all day yesterday at the park and half the day today at the lake was all I could take. Im gonna have to look into one of those harnesses for these...

    Pitch Hold

Can someone explain when and what settings would be benificial using pitch hold? Is it better used in audio such as two tone ferrous rather than conductive? Ive read in Andys book that very deep coins have been found at the edge of detection depth using pitch hold, anyone have any luck with this...

    ETrac audio "clunk"

Ive seen a few posts that refer to the audio "clunk" that the etrac occassionally makes and have heard it when using a borrowed etrac. Does this audio clunk signify something or is it just an anomally of the software the etrac uses?

    D2 Coil Vs. Eclipse 10x6DD

You can get more depth with the D2, but the 6x10 is great in areas with a little more trash. The D2 is also a little more suseptable to areas with EMI.
