    Finally made the big plunge

I already got them. I had ordered them shortly after ordering the Nox 800. I had read about the ears breaking off on Nox searchcoils, so decided not to take any chances...to protect my investment.

    Tecknetics t2 se advice needed.

The first thing I would do is download the manual on the T2SE from the internet. Then read from cover to cover and get familiar with the buttons, knobs and toggle switches. It's really a simple detector to learn with 2 main modes All metal and Discriminate of course All metal mode is the deepest...

    Pinpointer for Teknetics T2 SE?

I wouldn't worry about the noise just turn volume on headsets to 0 when using pin pointers then return to regular setting when done...problem solved.

    Finally made the big plunge

After careful research and comparison I made the big plunge and ordered an Equinox 800, a 6" coil with lower rod and a power pack. I wanted to have a detector that I could use to hunt in shallow water in lakes and at the beach. I also decided that I wanted a multifrequency detector. I noticed...

These are some of the reasons why I did not vote for Donald Trump

I also served in the military (USAF from 1972 - 1994). I am very angry at draft dodger Trump's constant attacks on those of us who did serve honorably in the US military. I feel that Trump has sold us and our allies out to our enemies (the Russians, North Koreans and the Chinese). I have also...

    Tek Point pintpointer

They are the same. Both made by First Texas the only difference is that one carries the Fisher brand and the other carries the Teknetics brand.

    Tek Point pintpointer

It's a great pinpointer with good depth. Anything 4" or shallower from the surface that I locate with my T2SE, I use my Tek Point pinpointer to pinpoint the exact location. My recovery times have improved drastically and my holes smaller and right on target. It's pulse induction technology is...

    Giving the T2+ a try!

Yes, The T2 is certainly a deep seeking detector when set up properly by an experienced user. I own both the T2 Classic and the T2SE. I really enjoy using both of them. I've been teaching my wife how to use the T2 Classic. She's starting to get better at finding targets and learning to...

Bounty Hunter ultra mag sharp shooter

IMHO that the Discovery 3300 is the better BH detector. I've got the Legacy 3500 (same as Discovery 3300).

aa Battery's Race To 0.8v How Much Interest Is There?

Poor Monte. Whoever sold you those Chinese Duralock Duracell batteries really ripped you off @ 79 cents each.

Let's throw some advice on stuff to do during self quarantining at home. Share what you are doing and any good advice...

I spent the last week refinishing an antique china cabinet that my son bought. It was badly scratched up and was in rough shape. Was quite pleased by what a little sandpaper and few good coats of stain and varnish can do.

    15" coil for the T2

I have the 15"DD coil. It goes deep. However I prefer my CORS Strike (same as NEL Tornado) coil. It weighs less and goes just as deep as the 15"DD.

    My Teknetics T2/T2SE coil arsenal

I just received the CORS Fortune coil that I ordered to complete my coil selection for my T2s. I now have a broad selection of coils to cover most metal detecting scenarios. So far, I have the Teknetics 5" round DD, the Teknetics 11" oblong DD, the Teknetics 15" round DD, the CORS Fortune...

    Playing the waiting game

Here I am again playing the waiting game. Was looking at upgrading from a T2 Classic to the T2SE. Wife gave me the go ahead, so I pulled the trigger and ordered one. According to Bart at Big Boys Hobbies, it was shipped today and the email I received says it should arrive by 8PM Monday. I'm so...

    Tek-Point Pin pointer operating frequencies

Does anyone know what the 16 frequencies are that the Tek-Point pin pointer can be set to operate at. Perhaps Dave Johnson can answer this. The reason I want to know is because then I can set it either higher or lower than the metal detector frequency to help eliminate interference between the two.

Finally got to test my new CORS Strike Coil

Finally got a break in the rain for a short time (about an hour). I took the T2 Classic with the CORS Strike coil mounted on it and went to a nearby school that I recently hunted using the stock 11'DD coil. Before I started hunting I Ground balanced with the sensitivity set at 50 then I cranked...
