Iron Bottom opened back up from being sanded in for over a week

I think it’s safe to say the beach changes with every tide cycle. Depending on wind direction & storm activity, cross cutting surf can create opportunities by churning up and removing the soft sand and exposing the hard bottom were the good stuff lies and is detectable IMHO. Congrats Dancer.

    IRON Bottom WASH

Underrated for sure. I run in all metal also, and when green or yellow light up, toggle to discriminate and crown caps null out. I also have the older Beach Hunter ID 9”coiL detector. With that machine I can use Andy Sabisch’s super tune program in all metal. Was never able to super tune the...

    IRON Bottom WASH

Hunter, I’m with you. I got couple of tanks. Whites Beach Hunter 300 & Whites Dual Field. Like using them waist/chest deep wading. Really like the Beach Hunter 3 light discrimination feature. Red always iron. Green pretty much coin/sinker/silver. Yellow aluminum/Gold. Got the Nox 600 also. Surf...

Missed it by 45 years or so

Reminds me of the one time I was detecting on the beach and a nice young beauty asked me what I was look’n for. I answered you, where have you been all my life. She looked me over and said for the first 40 years of it I wasn’t born!

    Fools Gold ???

Dug this ring up out of the wet sand here on the Gulf coast of Florida. It was deep. Have found bout 8 gold rings over 5/6 years while wintering down here. This just doesn't have the luster of gold. Looks like brass to me, however brass is not magnetic. The ring is slightly attracted to a...

    The Ole Hit and Vigerous

That there ring Dancer wrote about was a Cartier yellow gold men's band 6/7 grams. Fellow who scored it is wintering here on the Gulf, and staying bout 3 miles down the beach east of the condo complex I'm wintering at. Him and 2 of his buddy's take a ride up our way, and Lady Luck takes over...

I'd say this was a little rare

Hey Dancer, update on the sterling silver diamond cocktail ring I pulled outa the Gulf bout a week ago. Got it cleaned up best we could by soaking it in vinegar/salt for a couple days , 3 days of electrolysis, and good rubbing with ketchup which worked wonders. Here's the end result. When we get...

I'd say this was a little rare

Hey Dancer, just for the record, scored those 2 rings with me White's Beach Hunter 300. Here's a pix of the silver diamond ring on wifey's finger. It was in the Gulf for quite a while I'd say. Been 2 days in electrolysis bath & it's still cooking...

    Nox beach mode question

Hi all, considering purchasing a nox. I primarily wade salt water beaches. My question is are the 600 and 800 beach modes identical, or does the 800 in beach mode multi include the 20/40 frequencies, whereas the 600 only the 5/10/15? I am leaning toward the 600, and with the money saved, buying...
