    Change coil charging clamp

    The only thing I really dislike is the coil charging clip. But, I have an idea for you 3-D printers. Change the clamp 90 degrees and make it longer. I'm thinking like a pair of pliers. Grab from the side not the top.

    FYI, buddy just had his battery pack "rebuilt" at a battery and bulb store. Cost $40 to have it done.

    Coil charging clip

    Does anyone make a replacement that's easy to use? The coil charging clip is very stiff. Maybe I should keep it in a warmer place? I keep snagging it on the coil cover.

    Core material

    New pennies, Zink core. Dimes, quarters, halves, dollars?? I'm assuming all have the same material in the core. Given that, our detector reading related to size of the core. Again an assumption is it's a bronze component. That assumption based on copper pennies reading in the silver range...

    Balance

    I used the D2 for the second time today. My forearm started getting very tired after 4 hours. The balance is just off for me. I'm planning on adding some lead inside tube right under the cuff. I was wondering if others have done that?? How did it work??

    MI6 question

    Does it read off of the nose or side? How deep? My old Whites TRX reads mostly at the nose and goes pretty deep. Garret carrots is more of a side reader and isn't deep at all.

    Sound and screen

    The old Whites V3i has stereo sound, right ear higher value targets, left ear iron and ? The screen has 3 color bars, one for each frequency. For example, bottom bar is green, usually silver. Does anyone make anything like that now??

    Probably regret it

    I probably will, but I listed my MXT AP on the for sale forum. I bought a V3i just had to many machines. I sold 2 others and the MXT was sitting unused and I just decided it needed to go to a good home too. I've enjoyed posting here and your company, I hope I didn't make a serious mistake...

    Trying to figure this out

    Doing some test runs in a very trashy park. I got a 16/42, both ways. Turned out to be a dime. Seemed like odd numbers to me. Running basic factory program with the sound level turned way down.

    Mostly junk

    But, other than being cold trying to hunt in the snow, I have found a keeper or 2. I don't find many coins where I hunt and the only one of note is a 41D wheat. My digging pard and I have found a few neat head stamps. Several from late 1880's to early 1920's.

    Aaaaahhhhhh

    It's been several months since I've been able to get out and fish. It was nice while it lasted. At least I got in a couple hours at an old swimming hole along a river. It's been dry for years when a flood wiped out the intake pipe. The current owner just mows the weeds that grow there now...
