    Rechargeable Battery Packs

    Like most of them my DFX pack was long dead so took mine to Batteries Plus and for $20 they rebuilt it. Charged it and after 15+ hrs it still has 10.5v. Best $20 I ever spent.

    Hunted a old house today and found this complete Hubley Texas Cap Gun. Have never found one this ornate or complete.

    1904 Canadian 5 cent

    Decided to do a little door knocking and at my first house found this 1904 Canadian 5 cent coin. They were also called fish scales because of their size. Very small. At first I thought it was play money until I cleaned it up.

    Fisher F4 Rain Cover

    Got my Fisher rain cover today and am very pleased. They are detector specific for the F2,F4, and F5. Very well made of neoprene.

    CAM LOCK

    I took my Spectrum out today and noticed that the shaft was loose and discovered the Cam Lock on the front of the detector was cracked. Has anyone ever replaced one? Can I do it myself?

    EMI with MXT

    I was told that the MXT operating at 15hz didn't experience the EMI problems from overhead power lines as other detectors. I know my DFX goes crazy under power lines no matter what my sensitivity level is. If I set my DFX at 15hz only will that help or is there something in the MXT circuitry...

    DFX finds park gold

    Hit an old park that was less trashy that usual and decided to dig some of those pesky pulltab signals. It's 10K and missing the emblem but I'll take it.

    Gloves

    What does everyone use for gloves when detecting? I can't seem to find any that will hold up, especially in the fingers.

    Ring Found

    Two members of the Topeka Treasure Hunters club in Topeka, Kansas traveled to Manhattan, Kansas to look for a Fort Riley soldiers lost wedding ring and after a short search the ring was found. A reward was offered but declined. Great for the hobby.

    Shovel Question

    I've been hunting the fields hard this fall, and the ground here in Kansas is SOO dry that I've broken two shovel handles already. What does everyone use, is a fiberglass handle stronger. How about the specialty detecting shovels, are they any better?
