Supervisory Electronic Engineer. Retired from Federal Government in 1994 after 38 years of service including 4 years in the Air Force.
 
USAF-4 yrs, electrician-30 yrs, mailman-1 yr
 
Went into printing out of high school.4 years USAF. Airborn radar tech. 8 years as a candy salesman. Factory Rep for Dietzgen Corp for 20 years. Now 18 years in my own company. Same thing as when I was a Factory rep.79 years old. Married 46 years. One son 39 years old. Just retired. Semi-pro guitar player 30 years. Metal detecting 36 years. Found over a hundred gold rings.Owned many detectors. Own several now. Live in Fort Worth,Tx. Know several folks that work for Garrett since Garrett is about 25 miles from my house. Been president twice-vice president once- Huntmaster 7 1/2 years for Golden Triangle Explorers Society metal detecting club in Dallas. Was made lifetime member.
 
Now retired. Spent close to 40 years in the education business as a Phys ed teacher, vice principal, principal, Director of Education. I now work part time as a starter at a private golf course south of Calgary, AB Canada.
Did a great amount of detecting for years back in Saskatchewan. Floated my detector on an inner tube to work the water.
Getting back into again and loving it! Just bought an AT Pro and it's driving me a little crazy but know I'm going to enjoy it.
 
I grew up on a farm in central NSW.
In 1980, I saw the light - I joined the NSW railway & became a train driver way out in the sticks of Western NSW. In 1988 I transferred to Dubbo in central NSW & continued to drive trains until my medical retirement. I have since had a knee reconstruction & a hip replacement.
I was in the communications dept of the Emergency services until 1984.
This year will be my 30th wedding anniversary - I hope our daughter shouts us a holiday to New Zealand.
Due to a minor brain injury, I may need a little help on some of the forums, thanks everyone in advance for that help.
 
Just getting back into metal detecting after a life of labor, brand new AT Gold waiting for its first trip this Saturday. I a man of many hats, 12 years in us army infantry, several years as a general construction contractor, automotive mechanic, residential repairman, underground miner for the last 17 years. I've mined lead, zinc, copper, salt and now gold. "Smitty"
 
30+ years as a aircraft structural mechanic. I am currently a field service technician for a rather large aircraft manufacturer in Washington state. I live in Kansas and have traveled the world for the company and am currently on temporary assignment in Everett, Wa.

I'd like to say I won the lottery at a young age and never had a job but that would be wrong. 4 years degree in Computer Science back in 1998. Haven't worked with computers since... Own construction company in rural Southern Minnesota. Wife, 2 kids, and too damn many pets.
 
Retired Navy cook. Then I owned my own company cleaning and securing bank owned homes. Until someone wanted my business more than I did ,so I sold it last year then I said heck with it and retired.
 
Graduated from trade school as an upholsterer. Worked at it for 3 months.
4 years in USAF EOD (bomb disposal). Loved blowing things up with firecrackers as a kid. First use of mine detector 1960.
7 years as a draftsman. Payed well enough to get a new GTO with tri-power in '66.
Went to college 9 years after HS and graduated with a BS in Nuclear Engineering.
27 years working at Navy Training site-made screen doors for submarines. LOL
Now 71 and retired. Get a kick out of returning lost items.

Pipe fitter for the past 15 years. Before that, Maintenance man at a medical machine shop, a sawmill owner / operator, worked in the woods as a slasher operator, worked for GM for 11 years, owned a lawn service / landscaping business, and worked in the woods cutting firewood.
 
Spent 22 years in the US Air Force as Aircraft Avionics and Instrumentation and Unit Computer Security Manager. Started my own business as Manufacturing ERP/MRP Consultant. Then our Senate and Congress allowed the buy-out of our Manufacturing by European Consortium's, that ended my business as they moved the manufacturing out of the country. Now work as an IT Field Administrator (JOAT) at Adesa PA Auto Auctions.
