    The basic problem with pinpointing a Sov is... Failure to understand that this is a motion detector ONLY. It does not have a no motion pinpoint. SOUND AND MOTION !!!! Control the coil movement as you listen to the audio. Watch how the coil is moving over the ground. You must control the speed...

    Time to dispel the latest myth.....

    Bobbing the coil and adjusting the sensitivity in discriminate mode IS NOT ground balancing. It is simply a method of adjusting sensitivity so that it will not be set too high and cause nulling due to excess ground mineral . Iron nulls from excess sweep speed and/or too high a sensitivity...

    Off topic.........for you scuba guys.....

    Does your divers silicone grease get really thick and sticky when you smear it on? Have an issue with some silicone O ring grease that gets really nasty. Does not smooth out easily on O ring sealed parts. Divers silicone is reccomended by mfr, but do not know how it compares with the O ring...

    Off topic...thanksgiving dinner just showed up......

    Man, I just wacked the biggest possum I ever saw. Half his (her ?) tail was missing and still measured 30". Won't be eating any more cat food!!!!! Maybe should UPS it to Rick to serve in his bar on Thanksgiving. This mutha would feed a lot of people!! HH

    pic size problems........

    I see pics on the forums that fill the screen, or are so large I have to scroll to view them. To get my pics to post, they have to be really small or they exceed size limit. How do I get the pic to a reasonable size without exceeding size limit?? HH

    I browse, open the pic, attach the pic, make the post, but ........no pic. What gives ?? Pic is not all that large. hh
