    Cleaning rusty parts.

If you have those old rusty parts that you dug and want to clean them use molasses. Yes molasses. I use Granny's Molasses. I will go to Walmart and get 3 or 4 jars of Granny's Molasses or any molasses and mix 1 part molasses to 10 parts water. I will take a 5 gallon bucket and empty the jar of...

My 1st good find for the year.

I posted the initial post on the "Today's find forum". It's the Southern Cross of Honor. Its not a bad start since I haven't hunted in a couple of years, but hope to make up for it.

    Interesting find today.

I haven't been doing any relic hunting for about 2 years, but I'm getting everything dusted off and back into relic hunting. I went out in northern South Carolina for a short hunt on Shermans route of march and picked up something interesting. Its the "Southern Cross of Honor". I looked it up...

Can the T2 with 6.0 be upgraded to 6.5 and about how much does it cost? Is there any other upgrades?

    Beach hunting.

Has any one used the T2 for beach hunting? If so how well did it work and what settings.

    Beach finds.

Haven't posted in a while, so I do a little catching up. Got out at North Myrtle Beach, SC for several hour over the weekend with the T2 and didn't do too bad. About 2/3's of the stuff was found Friday night just after dark, so you don't have to have a back light on the T2. Found the rest of the...

    Big T2 question.

When we were in the little field where I found the 50 cal. ball, when I turned on the T2 I was getting a rhythmic signal. With the T2 still I was getting a signal about every 3 to 4 sec. I've never had that happen in almost the year I've had the T2. I changed freq. and that didn't help. I've...

    T2 in water.

I'm sure glade the T2 won't detect in water, espically in Fla. This little fellow was photographed by Lifeflight in a Fla. lake. Measures 23 ft. 1 in. and the ranger is 6ft 5. I sure am glade I'm relic hunting in dry fields in NC. [attachment 57894 bigbubba3.jpg] [attachment 57895...

Why I wouldn't water detect in Fla.

This bad boy was photographed by Lifeflight in a Fla. lake. He or she measures in a 23ft. 1in. The ranger is 6ft. 5. Makes you think about water detecting or swimming in Fla. [attachment 57891 bigbubba3.jpg] [attachment 57892 bigbubba2.jpg] [attachment 57893 bigbubba.jpg]

    The T2 does it again.

I went out for about an hour before I had to go to work and pulled these out of the ground from our old hunted out site. I don't know how many times I have walked over this J hook and percussion cap. I can understand the percussion cap but not the J hook. Percussion caps can be tricky to detect...

    Can anyone ID this item

Can anyone ID this item that is about 3 to 4 inches long and has a rubber tip and rubber plunger with a heavy wire handle. [attachment 56140 al1.jpg] A coke bottle that had a paper label and was bottled about 1905-10 maybe. [attachment 56141 alcoke3.jpg] [attachment 56142 alcoke4.jpg] A...

    Some lake finds.

Here are some items that I dug at the lake from my old home town that had been drained. I found an area that turned out to be a dump site in the swimming area and did a lot of digging looking for bottles and anything else. I was getting iron signals all over the place and I found out why. This...
