    Sure is quiet over here....

    The CTX3030 forum is nuts!!!!!

Ok, here's a tip for cleaning the inside of your detector shaft, no matter which size wall it has....

Buy yourself one of those long-handled brushes that you use to remove lint from a dryer and use it along with a hose to flush out your shafts. It doesn't take long for the "Varnish" to build up in a shaft so if you aren't going to take it apart every time you hunt, think about why a thinner...

I am looking for a coil rod and and the shaft that it goes into on an Infinium rod.

Hi, I am looking for a partial or complete Shaft for either the Infinium or Sea Hunter (assuming they are both the same). Cosmetic condition is not important because all I want to do with them is try to figure out a shaft lock to eliminate the "wobble" effect from that large coil and the loose...

Using A Sovereign at the beach..... How easy is it?

I sold a used Elite to my Fed Ex Ground driver on a Tuesday and agreed to meet him at a busy beach in San Diego the next Saturday to show him how to use it. He couldn't wait, so he takes it to Mission Beach on Thursday evening and 5 minutes into trying it on the dry sand he hits a "loud"...

Ok, I just ordered a 12 x10 SEL coil for my GT! One question:

I hip mount my GT and I need a full length cable to do that, and, because the cable on the stock SEF is only 62", it looks like I will be using an extension cable. So, have any of you, who are or have used the SEF with an extension cable ever experienced any problems with that setup? Thanks...

New Questions for you critter! How much does your SEF coil weigh & who makes it?

Also, how would you compare the depth to the newer stock 10" coil? I want to compare the weight to my beatup S-12 coil, in case it quits in the near future (one look at it and you would swear that it is dead already). I have used mostly my S-8 and I really like it, but, maybe, I will want more...

    I just wanna say sumpin...........

On no other forum, for any other manufacturer's machine, will you see such detailed field experiments and outcomes as for the GT, Excal and the Etrac. Most just hype their particular brand/model with no substantial analysis or really good explanation of what they did or the settings that they...

    Good News from Minelab USA!

I sent an inquiry to Minelab in Australia and they forwarded my concerns to the VP of Minelab's North American Operations. He addressed all of my concerns and very thoughtfully answered each of my questions. Here are the facts: Demand for Excaliburs and GTs have dramatically increased and...

My New GT Setup with the Meter Mod

Here is my GT with Joe Patrick's Meter Mod in it's new hip mount bag. The cable going to the control box is secured to the bag so there is no chance for cable connection damage. I wear it on my hip when I want to use the meter and slide it around (on the belt) when I don't need to see the...

    Sovereign GT Meter Mod

Joe Patrick has finished my GT and I should have it by early next week and I will post a pic of it in my Tamrac bag. The pic below shows my GT with the meter installed in place of the speaker grill. It's going to be 71 degrees here today in Southern California, a truly beautiful day...

Need some advice on the Diamond Head Scoop.

Anyone ever use this scoop? How about the 40" handle vs the 48" handle? Which is better for a six foot guy? Thanks, Plugger

Need some advice on the Diamond Head Scoop.

I am about to buy one of these to dig thru the packed sand/cobbles here in So. Calif and I am wondering if I should get the 40" handle or the 48" handle. Right now, I am leaning towards the 48", my thinking is that it will give me more leverage. Any pros or cons? Any advice at all, from...

My Sov GT Hip Mount Setup with the Digisearch Meter

For this setup I used a LowePro Telezoom Camera Bag which cost me about $48 delivered. I attached a black V-Clip to the stock GT Control Box Mounting bracket and simply snapped it onto the Control Box. Then I used a small Cable Extension that I had from when I used a SunRay Probe on my old rod...

3rd Time out with the Sovereign Amplifier

This morning I went to a very heavily hunted beach here in Carlsbad because it is close at hand and the PGA golf tournament is on today and I didn't want to miss any of that. I am a big Tiger Woods fan and I am enjoying his march into the history books. A few more years and he will own all of...
