The NOX starting off July with a bang.......

Hit Santa Monica yesterday morning and got two more gold rings (both 14kt). One in the wet sand and one in the dry sand walking back to my truck. The religious gold ring was a rock solid 9 reading. The white gold band came it at 13 (figured it was another nickel or pull tab :detecting:). Its...

Loving the NOX at the beach

I have the E-Trac and the CTX. I prefer my E-Trac at my pounded parks and thought my CTX couldn't be beat by my new NOX but I have to say, in my opinion, my CTX doesn't have nothing over my Equinox on wet sand hunts. I'm by no means an expert with my CTX on the beach but feel I can hold my own...

Silver from last three times out....

Had only about three hours to detect today and almost got skunked on silver today. Got lucky and snagged a 1909 barber dime. It was stuck to the bottom of plug and surprised the heck out of me when I flipped the plug over and saw the barber smiling up at me. Only one silver (got three wheat's...

    Human Staute of Liberty :usaflag:

How would like to detect the ground under those feet :detecting: This photo was taken in 1918! Incredible. It is 18,000 men preparing for war in a training camp at Camp Dodge, in Iowa . EIGHTEEN THOUSAND MEN!!!!! Everyone have a safe 4th of July :usaflag:

Barber quarter and some first's for me!

Had a very good day today. My two detecting buddies and I have been hitting this park for some weeks now. Got my walking liberty half at the same park awhile back. Second or third dig and I get a rosie at about 5 or 6 inches. Put the plug back and recheck with my coil and still get a nice tone...

    Ugly silver.......................

My two detecting partners and myself have been pounding a park for a few weeks. We've all done well but todays finds for me are a first. I've never found two silver quarters on the same day, throw in the 1921 walker and I'm on cloud nine. I know they look bad but silver is silver:detecting: All...

    Finds for this week.................

Finally scored a silver quarter (1st for this year). Got out to the beach twice: 1 silver ring, 1st spinner ring, and 3 junk earring studs (they sure look good when you first see them), plus a lot of clad. Got the silver, wheats, pins, and other junk from a park. Merc 192?, quarter 1948, rosies...

    Saturdays finds...........

Been a long time since I've dug a barber. Broke into the 1800's to boot. It's not pretty (well I think it is) and it's bent but I'll take it. :detecting:

Finds for the last couple of times out.....

Got out yesterday and scored 16 wheat's and two mercs. Also found a merc and two wheat's on another hunt. Three of the wheat's were in the teens.

    Sundays park finds...

Got out this morning. Nothing super old. Got 1 merc, 3 rosies and 11 wheat's. The second picture is all the silver and wheat's I've found since the end of April until yesterday. Been a long time since I hit a park where that much silver came out in such a short span. Gotta believe that this...

Finds from last two times out..........

Got six silver and seven wheat's this morning. Found two mercs in one hole (both pretty worn). The last time out another four silver and ten wheat's. Dumped out my clad and found another wheat. The picture of the clad and junk is a total from the 5 times I've been there. I cherry pick for...

    Ugly silver and wheat's ...............

Got out and hit a couple of parks. I used my 6" excelerator coil. Got a 59 quarter, merc (can't read the date), 1963 rosie and 5 wheat's. Three of the wheat's were stuck together and had the pull tab tail in the same hole. I almost didn't dig them. I kept getting a reading of 12-39 and 12-40 but...

    Got a few silver yesterday...........

I've been using my 6" excelerator coil lately and it's been paying off. It takes forever to grid search an area but so far so good :detecting:
