Crown Craps Advice needed for ANFIBIO.

Today i took my newly acquired Anfibio out for the maiden voyage on my test site. A 45 minute hunt on a fair ground site. Detecting Mode 3 tone. 14 Khz . The hunt got off to a bad start with a nice sounding 88 VDI , this was dug and was a crown cap. :( The next few signals all sounded...

I got a Pull Tab Experiment lined up.

Just for fun i am going to set up the Explorer 2 to reject everything except for pull tabs. . Give it 15 minutes on a trashy site and see what comes through.... Same for screw tops , i will try a 15 minute hunt with just screw caps accepted and everything else rejected and see what comes through...

Anfibio Multi Ordered - I am joining the deep club!:clapping:

I will be a member of the "Deep Club" in around a week or so when she arrives.. Hopefully i will like her.. I think i will after seeing the video's of the machine performing great especially on silver. I will be buying the 9 inch concentric for her in a few weeks , a nice size coil for trash...

    Arm cuff strap...

I have only owned the Equinox for around 2 months now , but already the arm cuff strap has virtually become useless , the velcro has pulled apart and it wont stick , to be honest this thing not really good quality at all. The other thing it really is too short by about 1 and a half inches. With...

Detecting Memory's Midnight & walking home.

I once remember i was walking home through the fields at around midnight with the detector packed in the rucksack. I took a short cut through an old grave yard to save time. This place was creepy no question. I came to a gravel path and started walking up it. anyway believe this or not but it's...

Am i doing this right - pairing no go.

I have some August EP 650 Aptx LL headphones that won't pair to the 800. Here is how i tried to pair. 1. Switch on the 800 Power. 2 Press the pairing button on the 800 to enter the initial wireless pairing mode , then wait till the wireless icon times out and the blue tooth icon shows. 3...

    Simplex Pinpoint Button.

I have read on one forum of a guy complaining that the pinpoint button is a bit hard to press on the Simplex. Having used the simplex 6 times now i have to say i agree with the guy. The button is without doubt the hardest pinpoint button to press i have ever seen on a detector and i have used...

Whites Eagle 2 SL 90 Power Gobbler.

I am sure this detector probably might just hold the world record as the ultimate battery power eater. 3 and a half to 4 hours to flatten zinc carbons. Alkaline's not that much longer actually maybe 2 hours or so extra. One thing i noticed with this oldie machine is the battery connections in...

    Simplex and nickles.

I agree that pull tabs are a menace. I guess one day in many years from now there will be higher technology in a metal detector to actually analyse metal better. I think that 100 % pull tab ID would be a dream come true....You might need to "bombard" the metal under the ground with something...

    Simplex and nickles.

Tabs don't have any fixed conductivity that's the problem. I have a box here full of tabs for testing purposes and trust me they have a fairly wide spread of numbers depending on tab shape, size and who made the tab! I will tell you some thing, i have got to like digging the little tab devils...

    Simplex and nickles.

I think that Detector frequency may be the deciding factor. 18 to 20 Khz are 2 favourite frequency for me on nickel based coins. All frequency's find nickels but 18 Khz - 20 Khz like i say does pretty good.

What is your deepest natural coin find with Anfibio.

I am thinking of purchasing the Anfibio Multi but i need to know if it's a deep seeker.

First 2 hunts with simplex , my thoughts so far.

Detecting Mode .Park , seems to me to be the best mode and i guess probably will be most other peoples favourite. will start with the pinpointing feature. I found the pinpointing to be very accurate no problems at all. Stems - No stem flexing noticed at all even when well extended. Overall...
