    First Deus Silver

Well, not a huge find, but I pulled my first silver with the Deus. A 1958 Rosie. Interestingly it was only down about 4" but sounded deeper but the tone was sold and repeatable. I only have maybe a dozen hours on the Deus so far, and had just come off a month long hiatus from detecting but the...

    "The Book" arrived today

As anticipated the much hearlded Deus book arrived today. Of course I haven't had time to go thru the whole thing, but my first cruise through it showed a huge expansion on the information in the manual as well as insights that Andy has developed working with this machine. If you haven't bought...

    Future Proposed Update / Feature "Wish List" Collection . . . . .

==================================================================== MODERATOR NOTE: This post has been made a sticky to keep it readily accessible and is intended to allow Deus owners to post ideas or suggestions for XP to consider for future updates or revisions to the software that powers...

    Horseshoe

I am confused by what I see on the Horseshoe, My understanding was that ferrous targets would show up on the left side and non-ferrous on the right side along with an appropriaate depth estimation....I have noticed that last few times out that I would find targets that hit with a TID of 3, 4, 6...

    Transition from etrac to deus

Not sure if I am gonna be able to make this transition. My etrac sings for the silver, the deus seems to love aluminum. I am not sure where to go from here, the TID numbers seem pretty meaningless, the tones don't seem to have any information in them. I found the X-Y display screen which is...

    Deus or F75 SE

I am getting ready to purchase a new detector primarily for silver coin hunting. Some of the areas I intend to hunt are literally covered with old square nails and so I am needing something faster than my Etrac, but want to get the best depth and ID stability that I can. I would appreciate some...

    MXT PRO with D2 coil

Does anyone have any experience with the D2 coil on an MXT? I just recently bought the D2 as a replacement for the factory coil, but have not had time to get out and it looks like it will be a few weeks before I do, so I was just wondering if anyone could give me an ideas as to what to expect..

Trying to get to the silver

I have been running the Etrac for about 18 months and have finally started getting some silver. Last week a 1944 quarter and in the two previous weeks a couple of rosies, mercs, and one barber along with lots of wheaties....now it seems comes the hard part, getting deeper to find the older stuff...

    Quick "Un" Mask

I have now been using the Etrac for about 6 months, and am starting to feel much more proficient each time I go out. Since I traded in my top of the line BrandX machine, it has pulled two silvers and a V nickle from the same ground I had been hunting for over a year with nothing but clad and...

    Confused

Sometimes less is more...especially when it comes to RXgain....Because RXg amplifies everything coming back, it also amplifies the noise and the signal "bloom" from any high levels of mineralization in the ground. Many of the most successful users of the V series detectors have learned that...

    WHO MAKES THE BEST COIL

I have only used Whites coils, but have used the 4x6 shooter, the 10d2, the 6x10dd and the eclipse 950....I have been impressed with all of them as each has a "fit" depending on hunting needs. I absolutely love the 4x6 shooter for trashy parks that get double "bumps" and interference when using...

    OK...Am I being stupid???

One of the best features of the V3i is the onboard manual...its better than the written manual by far and gives more information....I can see nothing but upside to buying a V3i (yeah get the i....in for a penny in for a pound...) the factory programs will get you hunting right out of the box...
