    Finally....got out and dug some Gold...

    First gold in the last 2 seasons( I think it's been that long ago). Not the best kind of Gold, but I'll take it. Hope the seasons gets better.

    Had to break through the ice.....

    Met a with the crew at a local watering hole and found ICE(plenty). Had to chop ice then swing, chop ice swing, etc. I did manage to find a few coins, junk jewelry, and plenty of bobby pins.

    Well, I thought the "Gold Gods" would be nice to me on my birthday, but they just teased me:veryangry:

    Not much found, but as I was walking out of the water I got a sweet Mid-Tone and knew this was it. After a few scoops I see a shiny "GOLD" earring in my float. I walk to the truck HAPPY until I realized NO marks on it. Still thinking POSITIVE I get home to do an acid test. test as "CRAP"...

    Finally got out today.....

    I've been working the last 3 weekends so I finally got to hit the water today. Best of it was a silver earing and a 1945 wheatie. No gold, but I'll take the silver for now. LOL

    Finally got to swing the AT Pro today...:clapping:

    Hit a spot near a golf course( can you tell?). I did manage a WWI Eagle button, 1907 V nickel, 3 Wheaties( 1910, 23 , ?), Silver Handle to a utensil, a round ball. "Baltimore Hat Company" watch fob, Now getting ready for the snow!!

    First real relic hunt of the season with the AT GOLD......

    Sure didn't start out the way I would have liked. first the woods were still overgrown then the part of the coil where the screw goes through( I call it the ear) breaks so I had to do a in the field MacGyver repair that held through the day( time to get some epoxy cement). Then the headphone...

    Found a couple pewter flat buttons, a round ball, couple Boy Scout buttons, and some kind of tag/token( any ideas???)Also eyed a neat old kids tractor

    Garrett Service does it again and todays finds....

    I haven't posted here in while since I've been water hunting. I went to change out my water headphones to my land headphones to try the woods for some relics. I ended up breaking the pin off from the headphones in the detector. Without even calling Garrett I sent the unit with the headphones...

    I haven't posted in awhile, but garrett is number one in my book. While changing to my water headphones the pin broke off inside the detector plug. I shipped it to them on 5/22/13 and you know what was sitting on my porch today!! You got it, My detector and headphones with brand new connectors...

    Took off and hit the water today to see what the winds kicked up. Not bad, dug two gold rings. One with a Blue Topaz and the other with 2 diamond chips. both tested 14KT, but no marking>>>>

    Went to an old pounded colonial site to let the AT PRO loose.. First target was the sterling Swastika pin. Then here the prefect reason NOT to throw any finmds away until you clean them up. Cleaning the little piece to the left of the button turned out to be a piece of jewelry with a stone.(...

    Got a Buffalo today....

    I put on the small coil and headed out to the woods. A Brutally cold windy day, but I did manage a few goods finds. 1936 Buffalo, 1950 Wheatie, an old pocket Knife and some clads. Sometimes you just have to read the wrighting on the tree to find the old spots!! LOL Here a tree with 1951 carved...
