    Civil War Projectile Brooke ? 6.5", 60lb. 12 1/2" tall.

Can anyone tell me the type of projectile this one is? I have been thinking it was a Read, but now believe it is a Confederate Brooke. Any Idea of the value? It weighs 60 pounds, is 12 1/2" tall and about 6.5" inches in diameter.

Hey! If Your ATPro Has Been Gone Too Long

Call them. I sent mine back to Garrett for the upgrade and the lady told me she has an ATPro sitting there waiting for someone to call and let them know where to ship it. Seems that when it was sent back to them the owner didn't put a note, phone number or return address inside or outside the...

A Little Luck At The Lake Today With My ATPro

I had a little luck today at the lake. The first 1 1/2 hours I found 1 - quarter. In the next hour, I found a Sterling necklace and cross, a sterling man's ring, a junk ring and 70 cents. Very little trash.

    Another One Bit The Dust

Up until last Sunday my ATPro with a 504 serial number worked great. I thought I had missed the bullet on problems. Sunday before last I spent 3 - 4 hours in a fresh water lake and found some clad, junk jewelry and the usual junk. When I went back this last Sunday, it started being erratic as...

ATPro Can Be Hazardous To Your Health

Man you have to be tough or something. I keep reading about otherwise seemingly sane guys going out in the lakes with the ATPro. They're saying things like: it wasn't so bad after my legs became numb or it was raining and 45 degrees at the lake with 20 mph winds and so on. I too have had some...

Went Back To The Lake Found 2 Rings, But

They were junk rings. It looked like someone read my post about the diamond ring last week. There were holes on the beach and holes in the water that weren't filled in. Those holes weren't there last week. I tried Pro Mode Zero with Iron set at 25. Sensitivity set in the middle and ground...

ATPro Finds Gold & Diamonds Second Time Out

I went out Sunday afternoon to a swimming hole in a backwater lake off the Tennessee River. The river level was down so the lake level was down about 5 feet. I noticed that the water was down a couple of weeks ago, but the weather has been too cold to enjoy hunting. Sunday it was in the 60s so I...

Something I Don't Understand About Replacing AT Pro Headphones

Are you guys that are cutting the cable to splice in new headphones not ever planning to use the AT Pro in the water? Also, wouldn't a heavy rain short out the new headphones? I understand that the Garrett headphones are apparently not very good and the cord is too short, but it looks like you...

    AT Pro Standard Headphones

OK, After this one I'm going to leave it alone. This is the question I sent to Garrett and their response: Hi, I'm planning to buy one of your new AT Pro metal detectors when they are available. I have a question about the standard head phones. I was wondering if they are like the Detector...

AT Pro Head Phones Rephrased Question

I was wondering if they are like the Detector Pro Headhunter Pirate head phones? They say: Water Resistant: Accidental drops in water and you can hunt in the rain. So, I wondered if Garrett thought of that with the standard head phones. I know I can contact Garett, but was just wondering.

AT Pro Standard Head Phones Water Resistant?

Does anyone know if the AT Pro Standard Head phones are splash and rain proof or if I'm going to have to buy the water-proof ones too?

    Using 5 x 10 " 18.75KHz Coil In The Rain

I have a question about Using the 5 x 10 " 18.75KHz Coil In The Rain. I understand it's not waterproof/submersible, but if I get caught in the rain, do I need to put a bag around the coil or head for the barn? Thanks, Skip

I Did It Too, Waterproofed My Cibola, Part 3.

I went out yesterday thinking the day after a holiday with a beach full of people would be good hunting. Wrong. Someone apparently hit the beach and the water after the crowds left. I was there before daylight, but because it was 60 degrees, I hunted the dry sand for a while waiting for the sun...

I Did It Too, Waterproofed My Cibola, Found Gold Part 2, How To Do It.

Here are the pictures and the process I used to waterproof my Cibola Metal detector. After seeing what wildwiz did to waterproof his detector, I contacted him, because I had several questions. He was very helpful in guiding me through the process. 1. You need a waterproof, clear plastic box...

I Did It Too, Waterproofed Cibola, Found Gold

Thanks to wildwiz, I learned how to waterproof my Cibola with an Otterbox. I made some mistakes, but I'm new to water hunting, so, I consider it a learning process. There is a sandy beach at a lake near my home that I've wanted to try for several years, but didn't have a waterproof detector...
