    Help-3 cent nickel

I was wondering if any CTX users have found a 3 cent nickel and if so would you please share the FE-CO #'s. I have found coins back to 1865, which is old for this area, so I keep thinking there has to be 3 cent coins to be found. I would like to say " I found one". Along with a gold coin I may...

The New Year is Looking Good.

After three months, the CTX is finally learning how to find silver. It had it's first three silver day along with it's first silver half.

    Problem with the CTX

Thought I would pass this along. Went out for a quick hunt, powered up the CTX and had a message that no coil was detected. Powered down and checked the connection, everything was tight. Powered up again, same message, no coil. Powered down and turned it back on and did a master reset. That took...

    CTX-WOW

The CTX is something else. The ground is frozen now but I was able to get out three times for about 5 hrs. Compared to the Etrac, it

    Two more silver, frustrated.

Was able to hit the park again today. Ended up with $1.19 including two silver quarters. The first was a no date Barber and four feet away a 26 SLQ is pulled from the dirt. I needed the SLQ for my collection, it had an "s" mint mark. However, any coin without a date is frustrating, but I guess...

E-Trac pulls two more silvers from the park

Had to get out with the E-Trac since the weather improved after a week of cold and snow. Don't know if I'm learning to find trash or coins, but the E-Trac has impressed me with the way it sounds off when there is silver below the coil. If anyone is wondering, that's a 58 rosie and a 64 quarter.

    One fine day.

I went to what is becoming my favorite park. Turned on the E-trac, three swings later, a 1924 merc. For the next 20 minutes nothing but clad, 2 dimes and six pennies. I moved to the other side of a drainage ditch. Had to dig a 44 wheat from under a root. About 5 minutes later, another root and...

    Another day at the park.

Sunny and 51 degrees, so the E-trac decided to hit the park. This may be the last time if it doesn't start to find more than one silver at a time. I shoud give it a time out and start taking the AT pro.

    Another day, another silver

Hit the same park where I found the merc and wheats yesterday. Only found $1.10 in clad today, however did score a 58 rosie and a 1930 wheat. The weather is starting to turn cold again, hope the ground stays thawed for a couple of more weeks so I can continue to hunt.

    The MD quick step.

Maybe I should have said the MD shuffle, since I'm using the E-trac, going slow. The ground has thawed enough to cut a plug so I hit a local park. After a couple of hours I had a dollar bill, $1.25 in clad, a 24 merc and three wheats, 28. 36 and a 44. I picked up the E-trac last December and...

    Silver eagle for the E-trac

Just got the e-trac last Dec and with the temps in the 50's today, I had to get out to practice. Most of the park was still frozen, except for an area without any trees. Just right for cutting plugs. A few clad and then a nice high scream. 11-45 both ways, about 4 in down an eagle showed itself...

31 degrees, even the wood chips were frozen

Got out anyway and thought that I should give everyone a good laugh and post a picture of the finds. For those of you that shed a tear because you can't get out, cheer up, I predict that the weather will begin to improve in 45 days.

    Finally!

The temps were above 40 degrees for a couple of days, so I decided to get out, even with the ground being frozen and an inch of snow. At least my total for the two hunts is 81 cents more than last years first two outings.
