    Afternoon park Hunts.

The cross can't be too deep. You just have to dig everything.

    Deus 2 around EMI

Legend mono is way better than Deus mono. Just saying, if OP hunts in high emi. I get annoyed having to haul 2 detectors around-- deus and legend-- but it is what it is.

    Thinking About Down Sizing

I never weighed them, but the ctx sure seemed heavier to me. Reminds me that I need to get my last etrac up for sale. Like my old Ruger 77-- love the thing; hate humping it.

    Deus 2 around EMI

In my experience, the D2 is better than ctx/etrac, but worse than the Legend. I prefer the D2, but have the Legend in the rig at all times, as I (and Ronstar) hunt in heavy emi areas. Maybe I'm missing something with the D2 settigns, but the 4khz setting on the Legend cuts out the emi, most...

Deus2 Manticore hunts big silver mercs Rosies Washington’s

The Legend and Deus II drive me nuts with iron falsing. So used to Elmy's settings on the etrac, which eliminated that problem. However, I'll dig some iron to save what seems about 25lbs swinging weight after several hours. Great finds!

    A little freshwater lake silver

Around here you can sell lead for about a buck/lb. You probably knew that though...

Barber, Vs & Indians / Old Navy Button / Sheriffs pin badge / 1930s Tootsie Toy

I have the same problem with the remote unit. I dare not take it off the stick. Stupid, cheap design for such an expensive detector. Sure, not as bad as the nox 800, but... How did you fixt it?

Pleased with my new WS6 master

I love the Deus II-- I grab it over my Legend and Etrac, because it swings so effortlessly. However, in my case, it hasn't made hunted out areas new again. Not knocking the detector, just giving my experience for anybody that is buying the machine with that hope.

    Wedding band

If you want gold, you have to dig almost everything. I found a very old gold ring on an OR beach, tested between 10-14k, that rang up just above iron and way below nickel. Only reason I dug it was that it was the first target of the day. If it were a couple hours later I might have skipped it.

    Deus 2 Arriving today

So 3 months on with the D, and I really like the machine, except for the little foldable headphones. Been comparing it side by side with the Legend-- and find that they are pretty much comparable, except for weight (D2 wins) and ability to get around EMI (Legend is a big win here). I always...

Thought about selling my At Pro

My kid swings the ATP-- I'm not convinced he is at any disadvantage over newer, more expensive machines. He certainly doesn't think so and found some coins my nox would not detect. For the cost I think it is a great value. If you have money to burn, no harm in playing with new machines. He...

    Sensitive and Sensitive FT

One thing I like about the deus is that it is so easy to whip through programs. Every piece of silver I have found with it was detectable with every program. Wondering if programs even matter for this machine in the areas I hunt. I do need to adjust volume sensitivity. A 7" barber dime was...

    A little help please

Oops! Dammit fellas, I have so many detectors I got mixed up. 6" coil is for the Legend. (head slap)

    A little help please

I'm happy with the 9" coil. Never have yet used the 6" that came with my D2.

    Thinking About Down Sizing

At OP-- why not get a second detector? You might be surprised at what you find.

    Magic coins program

whatever pattern I run, I just keep the 110 reverse. it tells me everything i need to know. well, used to run... moving on from the etrac. Too damned heavy I just don't find it fun to swing anymore.

    Quarter haul today

I get the same thought going through my mind these days, finding clad and shooting an Elk: 'great, now I have to clean it'.

    weight, legand vrs minlab nox

If weight matters, try the Deus ii. I have both the Legend and Deus-- the Deus feels so much lighter. I usually end up grabbing the D over the L, just for that reason. Not saying one is better than the other, though the Legend is better in EMI, imo. Even if the nox was weightless I would...

    Sometimes I wonder

Love the etrac, but damn, the weight! Though I dig more trash, I prefer the Legend. Lots of emi where I hunt. Jury is still out on the Deus II. My kid rocks it with his ATPro.

    Reality of detecting today

Interesting. Last month found a '99 barber dime in the local city park. blue, and has a weird sort of corrosion on it, like concrete. It won't come off. never seen that before. 6" and did ring up as a classic silver signal.
