    Rick, It is sad news. I remember White's advertising in magazines back in the 60's when I was a kid wanting to buy one. Own an MXT and am very pleased with it. Our hobby will keep going strong, not to worry. It will just have less U.S. made products.

    Things are really slow

    Here in New Jersey we've had about a month of highs in the 90-98 degree range with high humidity, OR, stretches of showers or T-storms. I've always dealt with the heat and light rain, but having to travel further to find fresh hunting sites and having to turn back due to showers has curtailed...

    Sometimes you do not need to go deep.

    I've found three in the past 4 years hunting in New Jersey myself. The oldest being 1832 (I believe). They are all in poor condition, but I was thrilled to find them. They are worhtless to collectors but are treasures to all us detectorists personally. I like to think back to what...

    There must be more MD'ers around here

    My few trips to the Jersey shore were "duds" too. We have packed beaches all summer weather permitting. New York and Pennsylvania folks visit too. One two hour hunt yielded 13 bottle caps,,(Budweiser beat Corona 7 to 6 caps), and two pennies. Kept checking my cail against my Lesche to be sure...
