    Is there any thing modern that compares to the SOV

    I managed to pick up a few Sovs up over the years (XS, XS2-Pro, XS2a-Pro in various configs)). I prefer them over my Etrac. I guess the Sov is a simpler machine for a simpler time (and simpler digger), but still gets the job done in dirt and sand.

    Trip to Western Florida

    I'll be in western Florida in 23 days. We have a nice place on the beach in Sanibel Island. Which detector would you take? E-Trac (stock) or Sovereign XS with meter and S-12 coil I can't take both, need room for a fishing rod.
