Afternoon hunt with Bryce....Gold & Diamonds...a nice little shocker! :surprised:

Got out with Bryce yesteday in the mild 75 degree weather and had a great time at an old vollyball area by a defunct high school. Bryce was plucking some silver with the e-trac and Explorer 2 and I was using my Explorer SE. He did well pulling 5 silver and 12 wheats while I got only 2 with 8...

Pretty fun hunt with Bryce. This spot just keeps giving.

We went to Forest Park in St. Louis a few days ago and only dug 5 coins between us in 4 hours! Wouldn't you know bryce got the only 2 silvers...a paper thin Barber and a worn Merc. Me?....2 crusty indians and a wheat. He said the club he is a member of (midwest coinshooters) was having a hunt...

Well it IS genuine 14k but....

My dreams of big $$$ were shattered after I soaked it, scrubbed it, then checked the stone closer and clearly see it is not a genuine diamond. It is stamped and genuine 14k white gold though so Im happy. Yes I chased a ton of junk hits but I wont waste your time by showing the crud pile. I didnt...

Great weather, fun hunt with Bryce, and a semi key date Merc.

Had a great time in 50+ degree temps and unearthed my first nice dime in a few years. Not blazing shape but plenty nice enough for me...this 1921D Mercury dime. [attachment 261447 033113142342.jpg] [attachment 261448 IMG_20130214_151545.jpg] [attachment 261449 033113141126.jpg]

    Shool hunt with my explorer2.

Not much for coins...and got skunked on silver but it felt good to hunt a place I hadn't been before. This was actually from Tuesday but I've been on the road. Believe it or not I used the old slimline coil on the ex2 and it did okay. It was a little noisy but I left my sef coil on my etrac and...

She was sitting, and another was standing by a tribe.

Got out with Bryce yesterday at a site I found and obtained permission for us. I ain't much at telling a very good story when I post and not much good at pictures either but Bryce is always pestering me to show some of my finds so here they are. [attachment 251797 121312145415.jpg] Had a lot...

    2 hour yard hunt

Got out for a couple hours yesterday with Bryce at a yard I got permission for us to hunt. We each dug a few keepers and had a good time. Here are my digs. [attachment 250033 112512101120.jpg]

    2 hour yard hunt.

Nothing valuable but as they say.."silver is silver"...so I'll take it. Had more fun trying to make a "D" appear on the 1914 wheatie than I did finding it.:detecting: [attachment 247912 103112230148.jpg]

Not much...but had a fun hunt at Forest Park.

Forced Bryce to skip work today and we hunted in St. Louis for a while. I guess I really didn't have to twist his arm that hard...and we had a lot if fun hunting. I didn't find nothing great but was pretty happy with 3 silvers and 2 indians to go along with 4 wheaties and the magnificent...

    GTA 1000 vs. ultra.

I was just curious about your thoughts on the depth capabilities of these 2 great old machines. I used to hunt with a GTA1000 but wondered if the ultra was capable of performing a lot better? Thanks...Darrell

Went hunting with Bryce a few days ago

Well I tried and tried to get my picture sized right but it didn't work out very good. I sent an email to Bryce and attached it so hopefully he will resize it for me and post it. Anyway these are my finds that I made while we were hunting at one of my parks. He seemed to end up with all the old...
