Bounty Hunter LRP and QDP new editions:clapping:

I can't believe the depth and target crispness at depth. Great target separation and the concentric coil has no trouble at all identifying the steel bottlecaps that haunt DD coils. I'd put these detectors up against anything on the market right now. Bounty Hunter got it right with these two...

What's going on at Fisher (First Texas)?

All these new offerings from other mfgs. and not a word from Fisher. I thought First Texas had more engineers than all these other companies and some of the best to boot. Maybe First Texas isn't impressed with any of the competition but a whole slew of detectorists are starting to jump ship...

I just purchased a brand new Big Bud Pro!!!!!

It had never been put together and its beautiful. I put batteries in it and I can't believe how powerful this unit is. Its so nice I don't want to hunt with it. It air tests better than several of my much more expensive detectors and the tones are probably the best I've heard on any detector...

Looks like folks have caught wind of a new detector.

I've seen quite a few Blisstools and Deeptech Vista machines for sale in the last several days. I just wonder which company has some new units in field tests right now. I can't wait to see what comes out next. Of course I don't really know anything but these units going up for sale so quick just...

Has anyone tried a Fisher F2 coil on an F5?

I was just curious if it would work. I know the Omega coils can be used on the G2 and the khz are pretty far apart. They are much closer on the F2 and F5. Or are they so different inside that it wouldn't work? Any info would be great. Thanks, Shane

What can cause a detector to maintain its threshold but lose the ability to detect targets?

I'm curious because I have a detector that does this on occasion. I do not want to send it in for repair because I can't afford to right now and it isn't under warranty. Does anyone have an idea what can cause this and a possible fix without having to send the detector in for an expensive...

    First Etrac silver today.

I have found plenty of clad and have a good setup on the Etrac so I knew if I got over silver I would not be disappointed. Me and my hunting buddy went to an old drive-in that has been absolutely pounded by just about every make of detector for the last 2 years. There are plenty of low tones...

Anyone using the 8 in. concentric for the Etrac

I believe its a Detech coil. I just wanted to know if the target sounds are the same with the concentric. How about the duration of the signal length of tone etc...On some of my other detectors I can tell if I have a coin sized target by the size of the tone but I'm having trouble on the Etrac...

I just completed my first Etrac hunt and I have some??????

I dug maybe 5 coins and they were all 1960's and 1970's lincoln memorials. They rang-in at 11-40 or 12-39,40. I believe that is normal but I got several 12-43,44,45's that ended up being screw caps. My question is do screw caps usually sound like and id as silver dimes or am I doing something...

All treasure hunting shows cause is closed parks etc..

Treasure hunting shows cause a rash influx of newbies to rush out and buy detectors thinking they are going to strike it rich. The vast majority of these newbies will have no regard for the code of ethics that true hobbyists follow religously. This in turn causes parks to close and private land...

Do the Ace series coils work on the GTP 1350?

I'm just wondering if anyone has tried the Ace series coils on the GTP or Gtax series detectors. If so do they work properly. I know the SEF coil is supposed to work on any of these machines. Thanks, Shane

I tried to sell my V3 but nobody wanted this awesome machine

I absolutely hated this machine when I first got it. I couldn't get it to settle down at all. It turns out I had a bad 10 D2 coil so Whites replaced it free of charge except for shipping mine back. Now I truly believe this is one of the best VLF machines ever made. It hits silver deep,copper...

update on hunting dept. of transportation land

Okay guys I went hunting at one of the old home places today. I must've been too excited as I forgot my headphones. Then I couldn't get my V3 stable in any program. I did hunt and it felt good to swing the coil. I only dug 3 targets in an hour and a half. One old gas cap, a 1965 dime and a...

Whats your opinion on hunting Dept. Of Transportation property

I have contacted the state officials and the local engineers and they won't give me a yes or a no. These sites are old homesites and there has been no development but soon these sites will be demolished and the opportunity will be lost. What would you guys do in this situation? I need some info...

How much does Fisher charge to fix a pinpoint button ona CZ-6a?

If anyone knows let me know. Or if someone from Fisher reads this forum send me a message. I just bought this detector and it looks almost mint but when I went to use the pinpoint button I found out it doesn't work at all. Every other function works great so its a little strange that the...

Has anyone added a meter to a non-metered detector

I'm just curious how this would work on the Fisher 1200 series. If anyone has done this mod or knows how send me some info. I've asked this question before but its been a while back a few years at least. Thanks, Shane

Has anyone tried an Edge coil on an Excel?

I'm just curious if the coils would be compatible. I know they run at different frequencies but the overall build of the coil should be similar enough to give it a try. I know that the Edge and Coinstrike can use he same coils if you have the Sunray probe attached. Really need to know cause if...

Do you scrub the coil oir leave an air gap?

I'm new to the SE Pro and got spanked last time out. I found a silver ring, 4 wheaties and some clad but my hunting buddies found like 8 silver coins. I realize my coil didn't go over those coins but I need to know if I should leave an air gap due to field conditions and stubble. With my Fisher...

Just purchased SE Pro and need help

I know this is a great detector because of the loyal following and finds to back it up. I need some real tips to help set this thing up for hunting. I've read the manuals and Andy's book but I must be missing something. I have a Garrett 1350, Whites XLT, and Fisher Excel and find silver on a...
