    F75 SE LTD plowed field?

I am considering the latest version of the F75 which has an option called "plowed field". The manual says nothing about it. Can anyone explain what makes this option special, and how it performs?

    Phenomenal UK detecting trip

I just returned from my 19th detecting trip to the UK covering the last 12 years. I blew it out this time and so did the other 7 people that went with me. No one could ever believe what we found. The group found 1 gold half noble of Henry 5th, 1 gold celtic stater, 0ver 100 silver hammered...

2nd Time Out With F75 SE Black

A picture is worth a thousand words. I think the F75 is a keeper. One of the barbers is a 1900-O which is a little better date. The indian is 1882, and the war nickel is 1900. Nice day. I now have about 16 hours on the machine in factory sets with a few minor tweaks. Next week I plan to...

First Impression Of The F75 Special Black Edition

[attachment 194071 indianbullet2.jpg]An 1888 Indian shot with a bullet........ I've been detecting for almost 40 years. I've had so many machines I can almost pick up anything and know the sounds. About 6 or so years ago (I forget) I bought a Fisher CZ machine. Before I was done with it I...

    XT 705 10 day trials

A short history here adds to the question. I have been detecting regularly since 1972. I've had every brand of machine there is, including a couple you probably never heard about. I know detectors reasonably well. I have an E-trac that I graduated to from an SE two years ago. I decided I...

    DD 10" coil

I've read a number of comments about the 10" DD 705 coil at 18khz. There are 2 versions, a round, and an oval shape. Which of these two coils is preferable? What difference does it make? I'm guessing the oval is better pinpointing and separation of trash?

    705 with 9" 3khz coil...............

I am considering placing the 9" 3khz coil on the 705 specifically to gain extra depth on deep silver. I haven't seen any posts to this effect so has anyone tried this in parks, yards, in Ky, TN, VA soils? I currently use an Etrac but I suspect that if I isolate the 3khz frequency on the 705 it...

125 hours on E Trac now................

I got one of the first E Tracs and you may recall that I said I would post after 100 hours on the machine. I have taken the machine to 3 park sites that were hunted with Se's, and a 10 day trip to the UK. I have a 10 day beach hunt planned and will post again after that in late November. For...

    bhid 300 batteries

Does anyone know whether the BHID 300 will take the new Lithium Ion non-rechargeable batteries? Some machines will indicate a power overload but I am not sure about the BHID 300. Considering getting one and would like to know as I have a bundle of them and they are costly.

    E Trac Lithium Batteries Use

The Etrac manual says do not use Lithium "rechargeable" batteries. Has anyone tried the Lithium disposable batteries? I used them in the SE and they were great. I'm afraid to put them in the E Trac until I get a better answer.

    E Trac Numbers

You guys probably don't remember any of my posts as I haven't been on for a while. I've spent a lot of time in the UK detecting over the years and 35 plus years detecting in Kentucky. I've had no less than 9 Minelabs over the past 10 years or so. Got a new E Trac last Friday thanks to a fine...

    SE Depth

I see quite a few posts here about depth so thought it a good opportunity to ask. I have an EXII that I have used for several years and know the machine quite well. Bought an SE, put around 60 hours on it. There is no way the depth is as good on the SE compared to the EXII. The EXII seems to...

    F75 & iron

Over the last 15 years I've tried half a dozen Fisher machines. And before I go on this is an attempt at a legitimate question not just a sarcastic statement. The primary reason I tried to force feed myself a Fisher was because I could hip mount or chest mount most of them and I have a...

    button ID

I dug this button near two civil war eagle buttons. I assume as a arsult of that and looking at 13 stars, etc that it is early 19th century, but I can't find it in any of the books. Almost all the book entries have the eagle facing to the right. I found an I button last year facing to the...

    3rd visit hunted out park........

The second time back to the hunted out park it was too dry and I found zero, nothing. Thought this weeks little rain might help so I went back. This park has been pounded to death and there was actually another guy there using brand X. Don't think he found anything and I didn't want to hurt...

    slick coin

I posted some pictures last week of a handful of finds that included a completely slick quarter size piece of silver. On the back there were some markings but I didnt recognize them. Just this thursday I dug the 1794 dime size coin and noticed the markings on the back were the same. As it...

    finally broke through

My deepest keeper find to date was at 8 inches. I went to a totally hunted out park in the center of town for 3 hours. My first find was the 1794 silver at a measured 11 inches and its no thicker than a razor blade. I would never have believed it if anyone else had made the claim. I have a...
