Is this thing worth drooling over?

It looks like it's got great potential. Is it worth drooling over? I suspect so (but hope not). http://www.minelab.com/consumer/page.php?section=272&pId=26&pNm=Safari&x=y

    OL (Overload) Question...

When the X70 passes over a large piece of aluminum, steel or whatever, it gives off an "OL" overload reading and sound. Will it give off an "OL" when you pass over a large cache of coins or a mason jar full of silver dollars?

    Tendonitis Problems?

Has anyone else been experiencing any form of tendonitis or other pain in the elbow and/or wrist? I'm right handed and I've had a sharp pain in my right elbow and right thumb, lately. I thought it might have something to do with swinging my x70, but now I'm beginning to think it's related to...

    Target ID number question.

Pennies normal give a TID of 34 or 36. This weekend I decided to dig when I got a solid 30. They turned out to be pennies, to my surprise. I don't dig everything. That's another issue. I'm primarily interested in coins so I have only been digging nickel, penny, and above, signals. I...

    Erratic Air Test

Another question about an erratic xt70. If I air test a dime and get 3" or more away from it, I get a 38 reading. If I get the coil down close, like within an inch or so, I start getting erratic readings that will go to 40, 42 and 46. When it reads 46, the depth arrows will show maximum...

    Noice Cancelling

Lately, I've been forgetting to Noise Cancel. As a matter of fact, I've gotten so lazy that I just leave my detector in Tracking mode and let it ground balance itself, keeping in mind that I may need to take it out of that mode when I'm pinpointing. Anyway, how critical is Noise Cancelling...

    OL: Overload

When the X70 passes over something large and metallic, it gives off a different sound and displays "OL". How will the X70 react if it passes over a jar of silver coins? The same way? Hope not.

    Silver Only

If I am really only interested in finding silver coins and the 3 kHz coil is the best frequency for finding silver, do I need to bother with any other coil in the 7.5 kHz or 18.75 kHz range? Bob

    Compass Detectors

Help... I have a Compass Relic Magnum and a Coin Magnum. Both are in need of repair. Any recommendations on where to get them repaired? Thanks, in advance. Bob in NC
