!st time out with White's Dual Field

Took my new White's Dual Field for the 1st time last Friday. I was very pleasantly surprised. It moved through the water just fine even with the 12" coil. Pin Pointing was superb. The target sounds were loud & easy to hear. I didn't find much, bobby pins, bottlecaps & assorted junk, but was very...

    Does anybody hunt in 4KHZ?

Just wondering if anybody uses the 4 KHZ frequency? I watched a video on youtube where this guy found 4 gold rings in 1 day hunting at this frequency. I thought that was strange & why wasn't he hunting in 18KHZ? I tried it the last time I was out & found 2 junk rings in about 1/2 hr or less...

How long a learning curve on White's Dual Field?

Bought a White's Dual Field, read & re-read all of Clive Clynck's excellent books, on pulse in general & Dual field in particular. I have another pulse, but the Dual Field seems to be the choice of the pros with regards to pulse machines. My question is how long a learning curve can I expect? I...

Queston for veteran Dual Field Hunters

I am contemplating buying one. My question is are they hard to pin point with & is the coil within the coil where you pin point the target?

    Dual Field Hunters

Question, would like feedback from veteran owners of Dual Field, are they difficult to pin point with? I see the coil configuration with the small coil within a coil & wonder if that is the pinpoint target? I am considering buying one. any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks!

Looking to buy AquaSearch v.2 pulse induction detector

Looking to buy an Eric Foster AquaSearch v.2 pulse induction metal detector. I have seen them listed here every so often but they always sell within minutes. I know one sold recently before I could contact the seller. If someone has one I am interested.

    Found 24KT gold pendant

Found a 24KT gold pendant last night near a basketball court. Only down about an inch. Found it with the 9" coil using the 2.0 version, Deus Fast program as I haven't downloaded the 3.1 version yet. Read an 82. It is gold as it is stamped .9999. Will post pictures soon. The loop broke off which...

    Lowered sensitivity setting?

I have a question for you Deus users. I am hunting the same areas with the same program (Deus Fast) but I am having stability problems when I keep the sensitivity turned up. Last year I ran the sensitivity in the high 80's to the lower 90's with no issues on chattering. This year I am on lower...

2 nice gold rings, high numbers?

The last 2 nice gold rings I found were a pleasant surprise. The first one was a man's 14KT 6.9 gram signet ring dug at 70, the other was a nice man's 10.2 gram gold ring with an initial on it dug at 82. It is definitely gold, but no Kt. marking. I don't know if my particular Deus is special but...

    4 Gold & 1 Silver

I have been hunting with the (old, outdated, archaic version 2) Deus, Ha Ha! Seriously, I set my 2013 goal to find 25 gold rings & 25 silver rings. So far I have found 4 gold rings & just found my 1st silver ring tonight. Due to the bad weather here in Minnesota, I have only been out about 6 or...

    Deus scores another gold ring

Went to a local park today with my hunting buddy & his wife. Scored a nice 6.6 gram 14Kt gold signet ring behind the basket of a basketball court. I was using the 11" x 13'' coil. That is my 3rd gold ring of the year so far about 6 hunts with my Deus. That 11'x 13" coil covers a lot of ground &...

    Got my new Compadre

Picked up my new Compadre yesterday! Can't wait to try it out. I got it new with the 6" coil. I am pretty much a jewelry hunter & the Compadre sounds like the ticket for finding small jewelry especially chains in high trash where i like to operate. Any tips are appreciated as i normally hunt...
