    9 volt batteriesfor tesoro

From past posts, I learned the Compadre does NOT have a battery voltage regulator. So I opted not to get the higher 9.6 volt rechargables. I think it was Rusty who said the inital spike could harm the Compadre. I used the lower volt Tenergy and got about 10 hours. The Sunbeam dollar store...

    Pinpointer question..

Does anyone know which pinpointer(s) has the strongest vibrate only signal? I plan to use one primarily for snorkeling (can waterproof if necessary) and want one with gusto!

    F pulse??

Anyone use this? What I like after research: Pulse induction 360° detection Waterproof Can use vibrate only with light off. I plan to use it for shallow water snorkeling. Seems to be the perfect choice. Thanks.

    Is the tekpointer for me??

I want to use it for shallow water snorkeling. What I see: 1. It is waterproof to 6 feet. 2. 360° sensitivity. 3. Pulse induction. 4. Can use vibration only and shut off light. 5. No raising. Anyone know how it compares to Quest pinpointer? (Second choice.) Thanks.

    Compadre in competition?

Has anyone used a Compadre in a treasure hunt? I seem to recover stuff pretty fast with it- pinpointing is a!most instant and I don't see targets being deeper than 4".

    Perhaps the right forum...

To ask if anyone has used a pinpointer to scan the shallows while swimming? I'm considering the new Garrett's/zlink. I want something concealable to avoid disturbance, as well as having the 360° detection field.

    New Garrett!!

The Garrett A T propointer with Z-link! Submersible to 20 feet! I'm hooked on getting this one! Saving up pennies! Anyone tried??https://www.garrett.com/hobbysite/hbby_pro-pointer_at_main_z-lynk_en.aspx

    Garrett AT pinpointer..

Need for all owners to chime in. From what I see (after MANY videos),this one's the best overrall- not taking in account another may have a slight depth edge. My biggest concern is durability. Some say theirs lasts and lasts while another says they've gone through 2-3. And some say the reset...

    Eclipse or shooter coil??

Does anyone know which coil can get closer to metallic barriers like poles, benches without overloading. Seems like the shooter coil would if you approach from the sides. But, I don't want a shooter coil if the round eclipse coil will match performance. Thanks.

    Compadre humor...

Found a rechargeable battery (9 v) that I hadn't used in 2 years- it recharged! Wasn't using the Compadre much because of the ridiculous new prices on alkalines, so I plugged her in and was having a good ole time in my favorite park. Up comes this kid who asks his Mom what I'm doing. She tells...

    One last try....

Since the Tracker IV is such a hot seller, it sure would be nice to have a BH AMPHIBIAN- a waterproof to 20 feet Tracker IV! :chase:

    Smart girl!!

A little girl was on her first flight and a concerned gentleman asked if she would like to talk to ease the experience. "Oh no, thanks. God will take care of me!" "Well you know there's no such thing as God- or Heaven or Hell.", he replied . After a pondering stare she replied: "You know- a...

How to have a great day..

Was out with my MX5 when I noticed a young man with diggers in hand while his mother was sweeping the immediately recognizable "muffler on a stick"(Tracker IV). Approaching them, I found out HE got the detector for Christmas! It was obvious they were getting many signals from the...

    Am I too finicky??

It takes me about 10-20 seconds to pinpoint and pop a coin. The videos I see: (1). 10 seconds (or more) waving the coil, etc. (2). 5 seconds to lay detector down and retrieve pinpointer (3). 20 -30 seconds slicing a hole and sweeping pinpointer (4). 5-10 seconds replacing mess. I had to quit...
