    Been playing a bit in my test garden and found ......

    That depth is very good on coins if you lower reactivity . The Deus is still quite fast on 0 setting and the depth increases quite a bit over 2 even .     HUGE Silver came to light after 100 years :hot:

    just did an air test with Gold and 4 grain natural nugget ...

    Had the small elliptical coil on and it would hit the little rough roundish gold nugget at a solid 5" .It weighs 4 Gr. or 0.25919564 grams . Makes me wish I had the time to go out west for some nugget detecting, Ray.

    Do you swing at a snails pace when looking for those very deep older coins ???

    If so you may be handicapping yourself. The snails pace is great for pulling moderate depth goodies out of the trash but to slow of swing will often cost you depth in the more open areas .
