    Joe Beechnut

    Has anyone heard anything from Joe? Is he still active here? I understand he fell in a hole while out in the bay detecting. Was rescued and hospitalized. Had hypothermia apparently. Hope he’s doing better and on his way to a full recovery.

    Broken Coil

    Didn’t someone come up with a fix for broken coil ears? My buddy has two coils that are broken. I might be thinking of a different detector. Seems to me it was plastic and wrapped around the bottom of the coil and attached to the mounting bolt. Any ideas?

    So I just got done with an Excal that I did quite a bit of work on. I took off the stock 10" coil and put on a 12x10sef. I had an extra Sovereign connector so I put that on it so I could possibly sell it. I did the same to an 8" a couple years ago. Hate to have something just laying around that...

    Got invited to hunt a property with some friends today. Big field site. All the homesites were gone by 1868. Got my first three cent piece, 1851. Got an almost smooth half reale and some nice buttons and other relics. Great site. Lots of ground to cover. Thanks for looking.

    Today's hunt was another good one. Got two Merc's, a '42 and a '44. Also got a 1900 Indian and 4 Wheat's. 3 '44's and a '46. Got a '39 Jefferson, a couple buttons and a buckle.     Today's Hunt. 5/17/14

    Today's hunt, back on the same field that I've been hunting for the last couple weeks. Got a 1800 Large Cent, a 1903 Indian and two Wheat cent's. Also got a Goodyear tire pressure gauge and a few other interesting relics.
