    I'm really liking this V3i!!!

Tony, I am sorry to hear of your friend's passing. Yes, maybe we can meet up some time (if I ever get time to hunt - there always seems to be "work" to do)

    I'm really liking this V3i!!!

Tony, there is a Lapeer avenue in Port Huron. Did you find that token close to that city? By the way, I also use a V3i and am from the mitten too! I just do not get out as much as I want to - maybe next summer will be different. Happy Hunting Scott (Mid-Mich)

Question on the spectragraph in practical use

I've been watching a few V3i videos on Youtube over the last few days, and I saw one that relates to your question. The guy hunting showed his machine getting a good sound and hitting at 85 VDI, but with the red bar being the largest. He said he knew it would not be a coin (quarter if I remember...

I love these videos. Thanks for posting.

    Mega Coin Spill...

That is a great location - congrats to you and your hunting partner. I wonder what the history of the area was? Maybe there was a ticket booth to a fair at one time or some other such thing going on there, where many coins were lost in the same spot over the years - or maybe a house stood...

found this with my V3i, memories from my childhood

Oh yes, I remember those. I may even have had a copy of that one. Lets see, Thing Maker is one name I remember, plus the Creey Crawlers or Crawlies. Then I also had the Mattel one the you compressed the little dinosaurs into cubes and then when heated up they would pop back into dinosaurs. ahh...

    Expert Menu Flowchart

If I missed sending a copy to anyone please send me another message through this forum. I've been really busy lately and I may have missed a request or two. Happy Hunting, Scott (Mid-Mich)

    Expert Menu Flowchart

Hi Everyone, I am not sure if anyone here has created something similar for the V3i but this is what I use to help me navigate around the expert menu (until I get it all memorized). I created this in Excel but saved it as both a pdf and a jpg so as to post it. I do not have every menu done but...

    A Decade of Detecting

Very nice history shown there Neil. Thanks for posting it.

Will there eventually be a V3i classroom?

I have always thought of this forum as a combination teaching/showing finds forum. I do not mind that it is all in one forum. I guess as long as there are not a flood of posts where things may become buried out of site, I would rather have it this way. Although I am not adept enough with the V3i...

A little surprise in the snow...

Nice find Aaron. Although I have to say you did do a little better then your friend's dollar bill - the silver alone in that half is worth $4.29 at today's $29 per ounce price

    Example of where I hunt

That looks like a good place to find coins all right, but as you noted they were not to be found except the one. They are probably under that cement sidewalk. That reminds me of the local historical society museum house in my town. I am the treasurer for the society and one of my volunteer...

In Search of The GOD Mode.....within the reach of the Holy Grail :csflag: :usan:

Thanks for the video Jim. For some reason I have an urge to eat a lollipop :) . That air testing is impressive. You will have to let us know what settings you have tweaked to do what you did on the video. I only have a few hours on my V3i and I can tell it is a good machine for searching in...

    DFX to V3I

I went from a DFX to a V3i two weeks ago and I really like the new machine. I have only been checking my own trashy yard and have not made it to the park or other places yet. So far I have found a couple of memorial cents plus many brass and aluminum pieces that I had not found in the past...

    V3i

I am curious - When will the local or not so local dealers start getting the new model? I was trying to buy a V3 a couple of weeks ago and now I am glad it did not pan out. Calling the nearest dealer I asked if he had a V3 in stock, his answer was "That's the new one from White's, right?, I'm...

Aluminum U.S. coins? sure hope not...

I am in favor of aluminum just because I think that they will last longer in the ground then the current Zincolns. I would think we would know the vdi number on them and could notch them out if needed once they start to be found in the ground.

Does this mean I'm going to have special powers? :)

Sorry but no mind reading powers for you as that was a silver coin in the Twilight Zone episode, clad just does not work. :( Last winter I watched all of the original TZ episodes (my wife got me the complete DVD set last year) and when they showed coins I always try to see what coins they are...

    Some target testing with Pics

Wow, this is amazing. Thank you for posting the pictures. I think I am going to really like this machine. Pictures like you have posted here need to be in the manual if they are not already...Now to get my taxes done so I can get my refund and buy this detector. Happy Hunting, Scott (MI)
