    Signal Vanishing

I have the 600 and TID accuracy is not good on this machine, especially on the weaker deep targets. blanking or an iron tone on these targets is common no matter what mode the detector is set to. Other operators of the EQ range here in Australia have commented on the same problem. I do not know...

All found with the Vanquish 540. A week of hunting.

Really nice finds there mate. I agree that the Vanquish series are under rated . I have not used a 540 but have used the 340 on beaches where I normally run the TDI. The vanquish is a pleasure to use. No fuss no bother machine, Good sensitivity and pretty respectable depth on coin size items...

    Merry Christmas To All

Merry Christmas to all around the world. Our illustrious leaders here in Australia are doing their best to destroy our Christmas with Covid travel regulations and restrictions after they opened our international travel boarders and allowed the Omicron variant in to our country . Oh happy days as...

    Alexandrite?

Alexandrite appears red under incandescent light and green under UV light or fluro light. SG Saphire is 3.99 to 4.01 SG Alexandrite is 3.7 to 3.75. Plenty of other differences but those two are easy to check.

    Fisher AQ Impulse PI

Thanks for the replies. Yes the chaps here are saying that it is a deep detector and responds well to small targets in the wet sand. Unfortunately for me the AQ is not readily available in Australia and is a tricky process to get one delivered...A case of who you know not what you know. The AQ...

$1000 fine for going to the beach...

In regards to covid19 Here in Australia we have followed the lock down, isolation and travel regulations put in place for this country. They have worked very well. ( yes a lot of businesses have gone bust as a result) There is currently zero community spread cases here and interstate travel...

    Beach Hunter ID

The Beach hunter is a great duel frequency detector for the surf & beach. Light weight, easy to set up and use.. Transitions from wet sand to dry without fuss. The disc ID lights are generally ok but like most tid systems they can be inaccurate at times depending on the mineralisation. It...

    Depth Control

Does the Depth Control on the Scorpion have any effect in the Motion Disc Mode. What sort of Air test distance at zero disc in Motion Disc Mode could I expect from the Scorp on a coin such as a US Quarter?

Well at long last after 48 years detecting and 33 detectors later I am getting a Scorpion. Going to be interesting to see how it stacks up against all the others. Adrian SS

Here are the questions that were asked of an Ebayer, (thinks he is invisable). I have removed names and user codes for legal reasons. It gives you an idea of the sort of replies that can get an account cancelled and attract legal action This is in regards to an Infinium on Ebay that I was...

    Tesoro Inca

Picked up an old Inca from Ebay a few days ago. This machine works very well and the All Metal mode is very sensitive to small gold chains, maybe even better than my LST. I am in Australia and the Inca ground balances quite well in the moderatly high iron mineralisation in my back yard and has...

    More Depth From ProPointer

If you want to get a bit more depth out of the Pro Pointer heres a cheap and easy way to do it. Turn the pointer on where you want to use it and leave it on. Get a piece of foil (small, work it out for yourself) and tape it to the pointer barrel or handle in a position that does not quite cause...
