Mixed Mode Pro on the V3i ?

Hi GroundScanner The sounds you are hearing in MMP are normal. The left phone in your case is the all metal channel picking up all metal in the ground, it will be a vco sound. If you have vco unchecked in all metal it will sound like a lightsaber depending how you...

    6x8 SEF

I've had my 8x6 SEF for about 2 yrs. I can get the readings that Napper gets as long as i'm using 2.5 single frequency. At 7.5 frequency I have to lower my Rx to about 13 and 22.5 frequency Rx about 8. In 3 frequency Rx 9 is about as high as I can go before overload unless i disconnect my DX-1...

Is higher always better, if it's stable?

I have to agree with Rob on this, Disc Sens is where the depth is at and along with that a stable higher Rx will help you get a little bit more depth.

    new coil help

Did you scan your ground in a metal mode or pinpoint mode to make sure the ground was clean where you buried the coins ? If there is any iron there it could be masking your coins and messing up your vdis. How close to each other are your coins ? That could be a problem too. Freshly buried coins...

    Depth and Accuracy...with the v3i

Hi Magic, I've been following this post real closely because i've been experiencing the same scenario with my V3i with coins 8"s or deeper giving high vdis 8 to 10 points higher than what the coin vdis at in an air test.Must be the soil here in Pa. I just sent my V in had a bad...

    V3i Depth for newbies

The library C&J program runs with the 10 Band ground filter, try the 5 Band or the 7.5 Band. The 5 Band gives me better depth where i live.

    Question on V3I

It doesnt hurt to turn your Rx Gain down a few notches in order to stabilize your V and believe me your not losing all that much depth by doing so.

    10x12 SEF White or Black?

If i could run this coil at Rx 15, AM 75 and Disc Sens 93 that would be very nice indeed !!! If i could run this coil in 22.5 single frequency at those settings that would be delightful !!! If i could run this coil in both scenarios with Tx Boost on i would be ECSTATIC !!!!!!! Not that i need...

    New SEF Coil

Put in 22.5 single frequency and start cranking the Rx Gain and see how high you can go with it and see if it remains stable.
