    Vaquero Awesomeness!

    Just got back the Compadre!

    Good news! Just got back in the mail the compadre w/8" that had the sensitivity way out of whack. It came back promptly and big thanks to Tesoro! Rusty even worked on it :) Gonna ship the Deleon, Cortes, and Outlaw here in a couple minutes to see if there really is a problem.

    Christmas presents!

    Not happy about the Cortes or Outlaw...

    Well as some of you know, I received the Outlaw, and the Cortes in the mail today, only that there is a problem with both detectors.     Lobo Super Traq

    I was talking to one of the representatives of a big metal detector comany about Tesoro and he said that the deepest machine besides the Tejon was the Lobo Super Traq. I was a little surprised to hear him say that those machines are pretty good at relic hunting. Do any of you guys/gals own one...

    Interesting fact about the Silver Umax!

    After I was admiring my detectors for a while and watching my son get a kick out of the detector beeping, I looked inside the Silver Umax and to my surprise, the chip for it says Eldorado V1.2? I wonder what the first Silver Umax's have inside?

    Bummed out about the Compadre...

    As you know from am earlier post, I received 2 Compadres with both coils, and a Silver Umax. Problem is that when I turned on the Compadre with the 8" coil, it started acting really erratic.     Was considering the treasure pro but it does not seem to get much attention

    I think that the Garrett Ace series has overshadowed most other beginner detectors from talking to other people out in the field, as well as several metal detecting clubs. Me personally, I don't like the Ace series, and would rather have a Whites, or a Tesoro for ease of simplicity.
