    lower shaft removal on Nox's.

If a person wanted to have two coils at the ready for all types of terrain, can he remove the lower shaft and put a say 3" coil on one lower shaft, buy another lower shaft and put the 11" coil on it. And only have to switch lower shafts to switch coils, only having to plug into the machine?

Putting the "coil" back into a coil cord

Has anyone ever had a coil cord that has lost its kinkiness? I have a Sunray Xcellerator 5" coil that has lost its tight coils. The cord is so straight that it will not allow me to shorten the lower shaft on my Etrac. the lower shaft is almost out of the upper shaft. I need a permanent...

    Gold bug and hot soil

How well does the Gold bug do in extremely "hot" (mineralized) soil of S.E. Tennessee? Does it hit on all iron (mineralization) as well as bullets? Or can I hear bullets, brass and other metals while not have hits on the hot soil when I don't have a desired target under the coil? Is the Gold...

dry conditions and sounds from Etrac

I live in S.E.Michigan and we haven't had much rain. Does anyone else have problems with the etrac getting scratchy signals or falsing? Sometimes when I get a good repeatable signal for a coin, I'll dig the target and there is nothing there, not even a rusty nail. I am hunting TTF with S.E.L...

    Late afternoon sun and colors

Tried fishing this afternoon, no luck! Had my old S2000HD FujiFilm camera with me, I was expecting to catch a big fish, and didn't care if it got a lil dirty or wet. Wish I had my HS20EXR with me instead. I couldn't stop the birds....birds everywhere. I was looking all over the place...

    Another "up north" barn pic

Here's just another of a few that I took while the wife was driving 70 mph down the highway. It took me a while to figure out how fast to set the shutter so the barns didn't look like they were traveling at 70:clap:
