Winter and cannot detect then do this for a laugh

simply stay on this sub forum and look at the higher pages 70's in December of 2017 and read all of the speculation about the Equinox series yet to be delivered to anyone. I just wonder how many of the nay-sayers back then are now Equinox owners? I got mine in Mar 2018 and it was no picnic to...

Wife's comments on my metal detecting hobby over the past year

Metal detecting is so dirty digging in the dirt and mud when it is cold and wet. And she is often digging in her garden mud and dirt in the fall planting bulbs when it is cold and wet. Why drive an hour one way to metal detecting civil war site? And she will drive 60 miles up the interstate to...

Normally I don't hunt this trashy park on the weekend because it is slammed with people and absolutely no parking available. However I just could not wait till Monday to test the 6" coil from Minelab. So I circled the parking lot for about 5 min and got a parking place and started hunting. I...

excitment about the equinox series metal detectors

There is a lot of excitement over the Equinox including myself. I got one ASAP and am very pleased with it. Since I was not really active in metal detecting when the AT Pro came out, I wonder if it generated a lot of excitement like the Equinox series.

what brand model did you migrate from when you purchased your Equinox?

I came from using the AT Pro for 3 years when I purchase my Equinox 800. It is not that I considered my AT Pro that bad if fact I was quite happy with it. But I started seeing all the uptick in posts on the forums for the Equinox 600 and 800 I just had to look closer. The closer I looked the...

I am using AT Pro and have the stock coil, 5 x 8" coil and Nel Thunder. The old home site is in a wooded area pretty thick with trees but about 2-3 feet between trees. pinpointing with the Nel Thunder Coil on the AT Pro

When I try pinpointing with the nel thunder I really cannot get it down much more than the width of the coil by going from east to west and north and south. The best way for me is just to use the front tipoff the coil and listen to where the signal appears and disappears and walk around the...
