Snow storm got at my daughters place.

Took out the power lines and put a tree on the roof. Same with my son's place. We actually did ok here....Crazy storm for this time of year, Jan thru March it would be normal. With the leaves still on a lot of big trees, it added enough weight from the wet snow to pretty much cripple the...

Was checking out Craigslist for deal and found

this little gem. Hardly used, husband had passed away and she was hiring people in to maintain the lawn so saw no point in keeping it..... I can't beleive some of the deals on Craigslist. Bargains galore. A ton of once used generators on there from the storm a few weeks ago..... Some...

    AHOY GANG.....

Thanks for your concern about our well being, much appreciated. Here is how it went.... Well, only took 2 weeks, but we are back online as of about 1 hour ago....Big oak tree came down the night of the hurricane and took out the phone lines and internet and our 5th wheel camper. Insurance...

Looks like we need to batten down the hatches Cupajo...

Looks like we are not going to escape this hurricane. Up this way its mostly big tree damage that gets us. Takes out power and hopefully missing the buildings. I'm moving stuff around here now. The last one we had, Gloria, took out enough tree's here that we were without power for 10 days...

Had our first return humming birds today.

Seen them fluttering around the window where we hang a feeder to got them out and put them up. 5 minutes later they were feeding on all 4 perches. Didn't get any pictures but will this week. Spring has sprung at last. Geo-CT

Was bringing over the last 6 round bales of hay for the horses.

Aside from another 50 square bales, this is all thats left from winter. Keep these in another barn across the street from us. Each one will last about 28 days for 2 horses. Getting a little green grass starting to show now also. My wife was out there with the camera so grabbed a few shots...

Lost one of the best dogs ever today.

This is Buddy. One of the most gentle dogs I've ever had. Loved everyone, never aggressive and love to run with my wife and the horses. Buried her on the farm here in a little animal plot we have for all of our animals. One would think after all these years you could handle stuff like this...

At last, a day of rest.

Been busy at the dirt bike club. We had 2 events this weekend on both days. Good turn our for both and decent weather at about 52 degrees. Perfect for riding hard in motocross. We also had a member who had a big rock sifter so we spend last week with a loader and this unit filtering our...

Haven't been to busy on here the last week. Been

busy bringing our motocross race track out of hibernation from a rough winter. Its coming along pretty good all things considered. We will finish it up this weekend and let it harden. Blowing out the sprinkler system and bunch of other stuff so not much free time. Haven't forgot you...

This is a first for me in this area.....

I've heard a lot of horse people mention them, but this is the first one that I've seen a picture of. George-CT From: Sent: Thursday, February 24, 2011 11:53 PM Subject: Subject: Mountain Lion in Sharon A few weeks ago our friends in Sharon, CT mentioned that they had seen lion...

    Retirement Fun.....

Retirement Fun..... Working people frequently ask retired people what they do to make their days interesting. Well, for example, the other day my wife and I went into town and went into a shop. We were only in there for about 5 minutes. When we came out, there was a cop writing out a parking...
