    CTX Gold

    Just curious. that reading is what I usually dig up pull tabs (depending how old). So Ive stopped digging in that range. Are you basically digging everything? Or could you tell by the tone crispness, etc that it was worth digging?

    I learn a little every time I take my CTX out. I got a little stronger signal from this ring compared to alum trash. Its still a difficult decision after you have dug up 50 pieces of trash!

    Today I logged on the minelab XCHANGE2, plugged in my 3030 the screen on the right side shows my search programs but it doesnt allow me to edit anything.     hunting in rocky environment

    Can anyone tell me what hunting among rocks (small pebbles to larger ) does to the sensitivity of the 3030? Does this reduce the depth? Do the rocks somehow deflect the signals? Do they cause more noise? Seems more unstable. I would guess soil/dirt would conduct deeper than hunting over...

    sensitivity settings

    Can anyone tell me what setting is best on the 3030? I have always kept mine on auto sensitivity. Have I missing anything huge? I have concentrated on other programs and the sensitivity settings I have not had time to play with.

    Tonight only had about a 20 minute hunt. This park is well hunted with lots of trash. Getting dark I got a good silver signal thinking it was one more dime. Digging up this silver ring. What a surprise.

    aluminum versus gold

    I have noticed that the CTX will pick up strong red signals in the lower 12 range, good signals like gold rings. I will dig and its a piece of square pressed aluminum. I tried to raise the detector and sweep which the signal remained strong, there seemed to be no breaking of signal either...
