After 40 plus years I finally found that key date Indian head today .

Dr.Bob and I got out for a bit this afternoon at a couple of hammered public parks and I found this a 1919 Merc and a couple of wheat cents . Just glad Bob was their to experience my good fortune with me  She is rather worn but I am still quite happy .

Deus gets me my first ever gold coin after 40 years looking :hot:

Went out for a short hunt this evening at a CW site and second signal was this little beauty at 3 inches in heavy nails. Hit around 27 in ground and 61,62 out of the trash running in 12 khz with 11" coil. So excited had to text and call a few buddies and then quit hunting as I could no longer...

Waterproof Makro Pin Pointer is a winner in my book

I have been using the new waterproof Makro pinpointer now for about a month and am very impressed with it. Came with a great storage case, belt holster, small finds pouch/bag and two tip covers/protectors . Very sensitive and nice to be able to adjust the sensitivity with four levels of power to...

Deus sure loves those CW bullets

The grass was way to tall but the Deus still managed several nice bullets . Love digging them Ringtails . Also an Indian head and some lesser relics  Dug one more pulled .58 ( 3 total pulled .58's ) not pictured as I gave it to the land owner.

A good set of phones make all the difference on the Deus

Amazing how much better I am able to tell the good from the bad by sound alone. The back phones are great unless ambient noise/wind or cold temps becomes an issue and then I grab the Vance Muffs . The tonal quality is awesome to say the least. A coin, button and 3 ringer sounds so clear and round...

Deus was on fire first full day at hammered CW relic site :hot:

Was able to meet up with several guys for a full day of relic hunting at a 40 acre hay field site that has been hit hard for many years with a large group hunt even arranged a few years ago . Had found a few relics and a 1861 dime and half dime with the CTX a few weeks back . Decided to just...

Got in about 16 hrs on the new Deus now

I have been doing well considering the public sites I hunt . Just a matter of time till gold pops up with all the low conductors I have been digging . And boy does it love old deep nickles in 8 and 12 kHz. Sure have been enjoying the lack of weight the Deus provides as I injured my lower back...

Been playing a bit in my test garden and found ......

That depth is very good on coins if you lower reactivity . The Deus is still quite fast on 0 setting and the depth increases quite a bit over 2 even . Sure this has been mentioned on here numerous times but playing with my toy I had to post my results  Also noticed ID numbers up average a...

Getting a bit excited as new Deus is being delivered today :detecting:

Hope to put it to work and try to pull some more goodies from sites I have hammered with several FBS units including the CTX . Wont miss the lack of weight if nothing else develops lol .

HUGE Silver came to light after 100 years :hot:

I only had a few min to hunt on the way back from a 300 mile one way trip to pick up some tractor tires and stopped off at one of my and Dr.Bob's old favorite sites. Within 10 min I dug a 6" beaver tail and then got a slight silver hit one way with complete iron null the other directions...

just did an air test with Gold and 4 grain natural nugget ...

Had the small elliptical coil on and it would hit the little rough roundish gold nugget at a solid 5" .It weighs 4 Gr. or 0.25919564 grams . Makes me wish I had the time to go out west for some nugget detecting, Ray.

Do you swing at a snails pace when looking for those very deep older coins ???

If so you may be handicapping yourself. The snails pace is great for pulling moderate depth goodies out of the trash but to slow of swing will often cost you depth in the more open areas . Just check different swing speeds over a deep coin and see for yourself if you have not done so . I have...

Any fellow DeepTech users able to get out and do some detecting ???

Weather has been cold and miserable here with the ground getting froze. I have the new small elliptical coil and am wanting to try it out at a couple of iron heavy sites as soon as the weather gets warmer . Five degrees and a -15 windchill sure put a damper on my getting out but spring will be...
