    E-trac wigging out

    My E-trac is going nuts. It will work fine for five or six minutes, and then just go berserk. At first I thought it might be the new 6x8 I put on it, so I tried another coil, same thing.     coil change reset

    I was checking out some youtube Etrac videos. One of them recommended doing a master reset after putting on a new Ultimate 13" coil. Does anyone know if this is required? How does it affect performance? Thanks Bill

    Batteries

    Ok so the rechargeable batteries are 9.6 volts, and the alkaline pack is 12 volts. Has anyone noticed a difference in performance when using one or the other? Thanks Bill

    What do you consider a repeatable signal? One that makes a sound in both directions? A signal you can make repeat, if you swing the coil just right, but the numbers jump all over the screen otherwise? If you swing your coil just so and get a nice consistent 12-44, but if you change the speed...

    Pin point target ID

    It might just be me but, when I'm pinpointing an aluminum target sounds a little different than a coin. The aluminum has a sharper drop off at the end of the signal. It's sort of a hollow thunk sound. Any one else notice something like this? Bill
