    Coil vs another detector? :jump:

    I use my XP for everything and my old detector is used by my wife and kids.... i have the 11" Deus coil but was thinking having a small coil might help me when the trash gets thick..... So my options 1) wait for the new small coil ($500-ish) or 2) get a different detector with a small 5" round...

    Glen Oak Park

    has anyone ever hunted Glen Oak? I was out there the other day and found a bunch of old trails in the woods that have fallen apart and grown over.....some old concrete and stone bridges etc. anyone ever go out there? may have to hit that up one of these days after work

    This weekend I hunted some property that the previous owner told the current owner used to have a "cannon ball factory" in the 1800's. In the illinois river valley, i found that to be a little unlikely, but I gave it a shot! I dug around the old foundations but didnt find any cannon balls...

    Coil Size comparison?

    Has anyone done a comparison of the 11x13", 11", and 9" coils ...in terms of real life differences in separation and depth? I have an 11 but curious what I'd gain/lose if i went to a different coil. I'm very anxiously waiting for the new coil to see how it does too....but...still waiting...

    Todays hunt :) new oldest coin

    Large deep iron objects...

    seemingly silly question...but I've always lacked in electronics knowledge....especially when it comes to batteries Is there any reason i can't use one of those USB lithium ion battery portable backup power packs to recharge the Deus? if all coil and remote (and headphones that i don't have)...
