Hot F19's are out there.

Well I got my F19 and within 10 minutes I had it together and took it to my test garden. I don't have to tell you guys there has been issues with some of the first F19's shipped out. I wasn't ready for what happened next. My coin garden is 20 years old. So it's pretty seasoned. I have a...

Why don't the manufacturers make this.......................

Why don't all water machines have rods and coils that flow through the water with ease? I mean it's a lot of work as you all know. Efficient Hydrodynamics for water machines coils and rods would go a long way in swing speed and fatigue. Plus you could cover a lot more area in a shorter amount...

Beach hunting boots or shoes? Need some suggestions....

The last two times I went beach hunting I had cheap swim shoes. They got filled with sand and wore my feet out! I've been looking at hard sole Scuba boots now. What do you suggest?

    Anyone around Panama City Beach?

I will be there June 21st through the 28th, 2014. This will be my 3rd trip to Florida in the last 14 years. I usually bring a waterproof machine but decided to hit the wet and some dry sand this time. I'll be swinging an etrac and will most likely be hunting through the night. If you want to...

Went for silver only found GOLD! :twodetecting:

Last week me and my Nephews went detecting. We ended up finding a few Mushrooms while detecting. So this week my Wife and Nephew wanted to hunt Mushrooms at the same place. So I figured I would search for Silver while they hunted Shrooms. But once we got there things changed fast. Needless...

 Mysterious Minie Ball - What is the story? Who does this?

I don't find much Civil War stuff but this one stumped me. Who would use a Civil War bullet as a fishing weight with current day Monofilament line? Is there a fisherman out there that has so many bullets that he just casts them into the water? It was found near a fishing hole along with some...

Another way to find some new places to hunt. :detecting:

I've been using this method for 4 years since buying a GPS. . You guys may already do this but I thought I would post it for some that don't. Do you have a GPS in your vehicle? If so just set it on "parks" while your driving around. We take trips for my Son's activities and short road trip...

    Minelab service :minelab:

I'm posting here because I wanted all the ML users to see this. I have read about the lack of service some have experienced with your machines. This was a concern to me when I bought my etrac. Well, I had to send it in for some warranty service 2 weeks ago to Minelab America in Illinous...

Camo gun wrap may not be good for your detectors? :ranting:

I bought a couple of rolls of Camo gun wrap to protect my etrac. It says it only sticks to its self and is safe for guns and equipment. I mean that sounds good to me? So a year ago I wrapped my etrac up from my arm cuff all the way up the the control head. So it's cold and snowy here so I...

:detecting: Bought some new batteries and got "voltage overload" :ranting:

To make a long story short. My wife threw away all of our old cell phone chargers and tossed my Etrac wall charger out as well. It was plugged into the wall !!!!!!! Anyway - I bought some of those Energizer Lithium batteries figuring they would last a long time? I mean they say they will...

    Info on an Alpha?

Thinking about making a waterproof Alpha. I need to know if the buttons are separate from the face membrane or is it part of the membrane? I see the buttons are raised up so I'm not sure if water can migrate inside around the buttons? Can't tell from the pictures..... Thanks.

:detecting: Civil War button pro's - What is this?

Looks like a Pettibone Bros. MFG Texas Coat Button. It's solid brass and 7/8 inch in diameter. So mad that I nicked the back! At least you can't see it from the front. What about it's value? I want to write an info card for it. I can't seem to find the exact button?

:detecting: Anyone use the 15inch Coiltek WOT on a :minelab: Etrac on a salt beach? Or should I outfit it with the stock coil? I will be in the w

I get to Florida every 4 years or so. Last time I took my BHID and did ok. This time I'll use my Etrac and probably concentrate on the wet sands at low tide. I may take something lighter in weight for the dry sand? I have the 15 inch WOT and wanted to see if the extra coverage vs stability...
